We give thanks to the presence of Allah SWT. who has bestowed His grace and
guidance so that we can complete the paper on "Passive Voice Past Future".

We also do not forget to thank all parties who have contributed to the preparation
of this paper. Of course, it won't be optimal if it doesn't get support from various parties.

As authors, we realize that there are still shortcomings, both in the preparation and
grammar of presentation in this scientific work. Therefore, we humbly accept suggestions
and criticism from readers so that we can improve this paper.

We hope that the paper we have prepared will provide benefits and inspiration for

A. DEFINITION OF PASSIVE VOICE

The main passive sentence of the sentence is affected by a job:

try comparing:

passive sentence: He bought a book = He bought a book.

active sentence: A book is bought by him = a book was bought by him.

OBJECT OF ACTIVE SENTENCE becomes SUBJECT OF PASSIVE SENTENCE

The SUBJECT of the ACTIVE sentence becomes the OBJECT of the PASSIVE
SENTENCE which is preceded by BY

Passive voice is a form of sentence where the subject or actor of the sentence
receives the action, while active voice is a form of sentence where the subject or
actor of the sentence carries out the action.

Passive voice is a sentence where the subject comes before the predicate. Passive
sentences are sentences where the subject is subjected to an action or activity.
Passive sentences are usually preceded by the prefix ter- or di-.

B. Characteristics of passive sentences

1. The subject is a sufferer.

2. The predicate has the affixes di-, ter-, or ter-kan.

3. The predicate is a personal predicate (personal pronoun, followed by a verb that


has lost its prefix).

How to form passive sentences:

1. Change the object in active form to subject in passive form

2. Place by after the main verb

3. The verb used is verb 3 which is preceded by to be.

4. structure the sentences according to tenses.

The basic pattern of passive voice is: [be + verb 3]


C. Definition Of Simple Past Future

Simple past future tense is a tense to explain an event that has not yet started and
will occur in the future. Sentences in the simple future tense can be marked by the
use of the words will and shall. The simple future tense is also used to express a
prediction or wish.Active:

Subject + will/shall + verb I + object

Passive: Object + will/shall + be + past participle (verb III) + by + Subject

a) Positive Sentence

Active: I will write a letter.

Passive: A letter will be written by me.

Active: She will help me.

Passive: I will be helped by her.

Active: John will learn the lesson.

Passive: The lesson will be learnt by John.

b) Negative Sentence

Active: She will not help us.

Passive: We will not be helped by her.

Active: We will not visit the hill station this year.

Passive: The hill station will not be visited by us this year.

Active: We shall not betray our country.

Passive: Our country shall not be betrayed by us.

c) Interogative Sentence

Active: Will you help him?

Passive: Will he be helped by you?

Active: Will you not help me?

Passive: Shall I not be helped by you?


Active: Will they accept our invitation?

Passive: Will our invitation be accepted by them?

D. TIME SIGNAL

- tonight (malam ini)

- tomorrow (besok lusa)

- the day after tomorrow (lusa)

- two later days(dua hari lagi)

- until (hingga)

- next month (bulan depan)

- next time (lain kali)

- this afternoont (sore nanti)

- while (sementara)

- in a little while (sebentar lagi)

- after (sesudah)
