At the end of the session, you should be able
to:
Define parallelogram,
Prove properties of parallelogram,
State all properties of parallelogram, and
Apply properties of parallelogram.
Quadrilateral is a 4 sided polygon.
The sum of the interior angles of any quadrilateral is 3600 .
Quadrilaterals have 2 diagonals.
Diagonal of a polygon is a segment joining two
non-consecutive vertices .
Supplementary angles are two angles whose sum is 1800 .
Two adjacent angles forming a straight angle is called a
linear pair and they are supplementary angles.

Parallelogram

All properties of quadrilateral are properties

of parallelogram.
Parallelogram – a quadrilateral in which
both pairs of opposite sides are parallel.
