Question 1
S = map distance ÷ ground distance
Scale=1:7500
=38.9 cm
=18.7 cm
Ground distance
i) 39.8x7500
=2947.5 m

ii) 18.7x7500
1402.5 m
Ground area
A²=2947.50x1402.50
=4133868.75 m²

Scale = 1:12500
i) 39.3 cm=393 mm
=393x12500
=4912500 mm
ii) 18.7 cm=187 mm
=187x12500
=2337500 mm
Area
A=2337500mm x 4912500 mm
=1.148 x 10¹³

Question 1.b
The earth an ellipsoid shaped like structure that consists real features that can be
seen and felt. It has a topographic surface that is unstable and unsteady. The
equipotential surface of the earths surface that rotates through a magnetic south
and north poles which coincides with the geodiid is also used at relate many
geodetic observations and depth of any object below it.The ellipsoid define the
earth surface more precise than assuming that it has a spherical shape and is
needed to create cartographic maps especially when the area of interest is not
too large. An ellipsoid provides a theoretical expression on that earth that help to
determine the parameters that defines it

Question 2
It is crucial to calculate the distances between two points on the earth surface
because the relationship between the calculated and actual distances will the
discussed accumulated if errors. Distances help to determine the coordinate
system for the positions of features on a map. When crating triangulation and grid
mapping, angle computation is taken into account to map a projection. Angle
affects the location and directions of the subject on the ground and on the map.
To determine magnitude, height and direction on the earth structure in respect to
the geoid and ellipsoid, distance and angles observed.

Question 2.b
1km=1000m
For point A
Eastings=665956.45 m ÷ 1000
=665.95645km
Northings=7397092.44 ÷ 1000
=7397.40347km
For point B
Eastings=709989.44 ÷ 1000
=709.98944km
Northings=734403.47 ÷ 1000
=734.40346km

Question 2b
DAB=√(EB-EA)²+(NB-NA)²
=√(709.9844-665.95645)²+(7344.034-739.0975)²
=68.95km

DIRECTION
Ø=tanֿ¹‫(־‬N/E)
=tan)1938.904208÷2815.772177(¹‫־‬
