The film was about the life of a masseuse named Mai, who was close to
reaching the age of 40 but never had complete love for her life. On one
occasion, she meets Dương, a younger man, when he moves into a new hostel.
At first, Dương probably only saw Mai as a target for him to find temporary
pleasure. But the more he came into contact with Mai, the stronger Dương's
heart fluttered, then he wants to be with Mai for life. However, because their
circumstances are so different, Mai always has a fear in her heart so that in the
end they break up. "Mai" is really a good story, after watching it, I burst into
tears because I saw that there are too harsh realities in life but finally had to
accept it. In addition, classical music contributes to the emotional direction of
the film. Many of the soundtracks were chosen by the director to match the
theme, such as a song by Phan Manh Quynh, to speak for the character's heart
and became trending after the end of the film.
