February 23, 2024 was the fifth day of Catch-Up Fridays. On the pre-reading
activity, I let my learners did the spelling drill posted on the word chart. Then, I provided my
learners the printed activity sheets bearing the three stories, “TELLING TIME, COUNTING
HOURS, NOSE BLEEDS”. The learners were given enough time to read the story silently.
Choral reading was made with my supervision in order that everyone has the chance to
develop collaboration among participants. Then group reading was followed, I let each one
of them stand and read the story properly. Peer reading and supervise reading were also
engaged in order to provide guidance, support and feedback to the readers as they engage
with the text.
During the post reading activity, I explained the events happened in the story. An
evaluation was made to know their level of performance through answering the WH-
questions. Checking of answers was done right away.
