Food processing is a crucial economic activity that transforms raw agricultural materials into
consumable products. It includes activities like canning, packaging, refining, and preserving. It
enhances shelf life, meets consumer demands, and generates employment opportunities in
manufacturing, distribution, and retail. It also serves as the core of the global food supply chain,
catering to diverse market demands.

Methodology pg.5

To acquire data for this (SBA) primary research, a set of methodologies was applied. These
methods encompassed the utilization of a questionnaire, a managerial interview, photographic
documentation, and observational techniques.

The visit to the Lopinot Chocolate Company occurred on December 7, 2023, during which the
investigative methods were implemented in alignment with the study's objective.

Employee questionnaires and the manager's questionnaire were administered, with the manager
also participating in an interview. The purpose of the interview was to extract information
pertaining to the company's history, material sources, and the variety of cocoa utilized in the
processing.

Hands-on exposure to the procedural aspects and techniques involved in transforming raw
materials into end products facilitated observations and comprehension of the food processing
procedures.
