CHAPTER 1

INTRODUCTION AND IT’S BACKGROUND

Introduction

Basketball was a common game in the Philippines. In fact almost all

streets in Manila and not only in Manila but also in other places in the

Philippines has two movable basket ring. They usually used it if there is a

league from their respective barangay or sometimes they use it as a

playground to play basketball. (1 Tolentino, 2022)

In playing Basketball players must have a good height as an

advantage to play. Not only height is essential for this game also weight as

well. The closer a person is to the basketball goal in height, the more

accurate the shot can be and the less force you must apply to propel the

basketball into the basket. This is one of the reasons why basketball

players must be tall. Not only heights is essential in any basketball players,

weights also matters as well.

Statement of the Problem

The main problem of the study is to find the relationship of height of

basketball player and their weights.
