First Week,
In first week, we started in February 01,2024 and the first thing we did
was, Mrs. Larissa gave us assign patient to focus on. So I was assign to Mommy
Elsa and then i gave the patient mommy Elsa a Pinocchio coloring book, and I also
chatted with her while she was doing her tasks so she wouldn't get bored while
coloring. In the afternoon, I gave her a craft folding book and a drawing folding
book where she could draw various things, such as houses, clocks, gloves , etc. I
continued to engage her in conversation, keeping her entertained and asked her
about her about her lite. I also talked to Tita Emz about her professions and Mami-
Yet, who shard details about her previous and recent illnesses. I gave mommy
Mercedes and Mommy Corra a task where they could draw and color. In the next
day we gave them activities that could help their memory retention, like Find The
Ball, matching memory Game, Played card game, and Sorting colors. And we also
plan for valentines Event. Interact chitchatting with some patient about the things
they like. Made an Activity regarding familiarization about Flowers, kitchen
utensils and things.
Second Week,
In the second week, what we did what we prepare had Morning Exercise,
and Decorating the place for the Valentines program. We also played music and
talked to some severe dementia patient. We listen and dance to a song as the
patients enjoying it. We also had some puzzle game with the sever dimentia but
we also guiding and entertaining them as they do the puzzle. We also had Movie
marathon every afternoon as they requesting us a movies they want to watch. We
everyday talk to them as they are active in more chitchatting than doing an
activities but if they’re in a good mood they will engage in our activity.
Third Week.
In the morning we do always exercise, and after that we will let them
rest eat and watch some TV shows or news first before we proceed to our
activity and we will observe the if either they will participate or we will just
make them listen to a song and have a engaging conversation with them. We
make them have activity like tracing Hands and they will color and design it,
we also gave them activity like matching the color as we observe too that
they’re slow matching things.
Fourth Week
In our final week, we had the dementia patient engage in painting and crafting
flowers. The masterpieces they created were carefully arranged on a board
alongside photographs capturing cherished moments of our shared activities and the
care givers. This thoughtful display serves as a visual reminder, allowing them to
revisit the memories and faces of those who cared for them, even though they may
not retain these memories. We engage a time to meaningful conversations with
them. To create a sense of joy, As we did activities they enjoyed, such as singing,
dancing, and playing games. As our last day we also create a mini album for them
to see our moments together.
preparations, and interactive activities like music and dance. The adaptability
displayed during puzzle games showcased an understanding of varying cognitive
abilities. Week 3 maintained a balance between physical health and rest,
introducing activities like hand-tracing and color-matching tailored to individual
capacities. The program's overall success lies in its dynamic and observant nature,
creating a supportive environment that caters to the diverse needs and preferences
of the patients.
