1. Overview
1.1 Overview Description:
This document attempts to work as a step-by-step guide for the warehouse worker who tries to Over-pick
the raw materials where it is efficient for the workers to do so because for workers to over-pick by rounding
up to the nearest packing unit, or where it's more efficient to pick the full content of nearly empty locations
to free up space. This procedure lets workers who use the Warehouse Management mobile app over-pick
raw materials for production orders when they must complete a transaction.

Pre- requisites
• Ensure you are running Supply Chain Management version 10.0.37 or later.
• The feature that's named Over-pick materials for production orders and batch orders must
be turned on in feature management.
• All Items that you'll use this feature for must be enabled for warehouse management
processes (WMS) in the storage dimension group.

Setups required:
1. First user need to configure the workers to access the mobile login, please ensure
to check this video Worker configuration - WMS mobile, which contains the
details.
2. In the same page make sure against the worker we need to enable the “Allow
production over picking” to “Yes” in the work fast tab as shown in below image.

3. Then Create a work class ID, specific to Raw material picking by navigating to
following path and click on “New” button.
4. Select the work order type as “Raw Material picking”.

5. Now navigate to the following path and create a separate mobile device menu
item for Production picking and enable “Allow over pick” in the “general” fast tab.

6. Also assign the work class ID created in the step 4, in the work classes fast tab.

7. User then need to add this Mobile device menu item into the mobile device menu,
to access the mobile device menu item in the mobile device.
8. Navigate to the following path and add the mobile device menu item created into
the appropriate mobile device menu (In this case I am adding the production pick
menu created in the step 5 to the menu name “Inbound”).

9. User can also define a threshold limit until which the over picking for the
production can be allowed.
10.When you create a production order for a product, the over-picking threshold for
each item on that product's BOM is copied either from the item itself or from the
override value that's set in the product BOM lines.
11.The threshold is defined as a percentage of the quantity that's designated for the
production order.
12.Navigate to the following path and configure the “Material Over picking”
percentage that you want to allow.

13.This Material Over picking % is available inside the required released product
under warehouse fast tab.
14.This defines the over picking allowed percentage when raw material for
manufacturing the parent item is picked using mobile app.
15.But if you want raw material specific allowed override percentage to be defined
then it can be configured in the BoM lines -> Set up -> Warehouse process.

Creating Production order

1. Navigate to Production control -> Production orders -> All Production orders, and then click on “New
production order”.
2. In the “Create Production order” screen select the appropriate item number, site, warehouse, BOM
number & Route number based on our setups in the previous section.
3. After capturing the required details, click on “OK”. (In this case we are manually creating a new
production order.

4. Now user need to “Estimate” the production order and then followed by “release”/
“start” the production order.

5. After estimating the production order, user can “start” the production order (P001112 in
this case)

6. Now if the worker (configured in Setup) use the Mobile app to over pick the raw material
(brake cable in this case) system will allow to over pick 10% (as shown in Point no.15 in
setup section) excess material which is allowed as per our configuration.

User can follow the above process to over pick the raw material available in the warehouse for
the production order processing using the warehouse mobile app configurations. Make sure both
the warehouse and item are advance warehouse management process enabled.
