 Vehicle operators are to be trained with defensive driving training at the security
gate before entry into plant premise.
 DDT will be conducted by SIBIPL HSEO at security gate.
 All vehicle operator will wear required mandatory PPE’s & use wheel stopper at
main gate.
 Wheel stopper to be use while parking vehicle at site.
 Driver do not leave vehicle unattended at site.

7. Work Method Statement

 Layout marking for pedestal.
 Starter by providing shuttering or by fixing Kenda (Steel Cleat) by welding.
 The cutting and bending of steel reinforcement will commence as per the
approved drawings and bar bending schedule or BBS (SIBIPL will be done bar
cutting and bending out of plant premises).
 For stirrups, the cut bars will be taken to the bending machine/ manually and
bend as per the dimensions in the BBS. During the bending process re-check
randomly with a template for dimensions.
 TMT bar will be shifted from labour yard to site material storage yard by tractor
and materials handling by manually with PPEs with required manpower.
 Prefabricated steel shall be placed in position as per approved drawings of the
related structural member i.e. column
 Spacer blocks of approved type will be used to maintain the cover.
 Support the reinforcing bar by approved spacers/supports, appropriately to
prevent displacement during concreting operation. The thickness of the cover
block shall be as per approved drawings or specifications.
 Overlap location and additional bar shall be maintained as per approved
drawings.
 We use the paint for marking of dates of footing and Column.

 Steel fixing, Shuttering & de-shuttering

Reinforcement
 By using green tagged scaffolding, prefabricated steel shall be placed in position
as per approved drawings of the related structural member i.e. column
 Marked Ring spacing on all Corner bars & bind proper alignment.
 Put stirrups from top and bind with binding wire via binding hook manually as
per drawing.
 All reinforcement must be cleared to ensure that it is free from all oil, dust, and
deleterious materials.

AMAR/LTTS/SIBIPL/WMS/044/R-0/23-24
 Cover block binding as per required distance.
 After the completion of steel reinforcement take approval of inspection engineer.

Shuttering
 For shuttering, the box size to be checked by inspection engineer
 Shuttering oil use on boards for smooth finishing.
 Manually lift of board from store to work place.
 Shuttering will manually fix with tie rod or external support of props or battens etc
 We provide support to all four directions with appropriate material.
 Proper check diagonal and provide cover block.
 Prior to placing, check the TMT bar all are as per approved BBS/ as per drawing.
 Checklist to be filled for inspection

RCC Work
 The Site Engineer shall initiate the concrete pour record & inspection request.
 Upon the arrival of the transit mix truck at the site the delivery note will be
checked for the actual details like quantity, mixing type, approved mix design, and
slump checked regularly to the satisfaction of the engineer.
 Pump car or bucket and chute or Farana (if required) or manually pouring will be
used as placing equipment as appropriate.
 The concrete is placing to the column by concrete pump/ boom placer/ concrete
bucket or manually as per situation.
 The Cube sample to be taken when concrete pouring is going on, the no’s of cubes
are taken as per IS specification. and will test in 7 days and 28 days.
 The slump test shall be continued as per standards.
 Concrete shall be consolidated by mechanical vibrators. The vibrators shall be
adequate in number of units.
 In Consolidating each layer of concrete, the vibrator shall be operated in a near-
vertical position, Vibrator shall be allowed to remain inside the concrete for
sufficient time to obtain proper consolidation of concrete.
 Concrete finishes shall be as required in the specification and shall be free from
voids, honeycomb or any other concrete defects.
 After concrete placing, the site engineer/ supervisor shall record relevant details
on format ‘Concrete pour record’ in the presence of the engineer.
 After setting of concrete work (setting time of concrete as per IS), all the
formwork will remove and properly stacked at nearby barricaded area.
 Curing shall start as soon as free water has disappeared from the concrete surface
after placing and finishing.
 Concrete shall be cured for a minimum of 7 days. The curing compound, if used,
shall be approved by the engineer.

Scaffolding Works
 All scaffolds should be approved and inspected from LTTS
 The approved Toe guard should be used for height work
 Ladder should be clamp over the scaffolding pipe at top and bottom rail
 The scaffolding should be checked before use the man movement or access for
works.
 Yellow tagging to be fix for making the scaffolding, green tagging will be fix after
checked and okay for uses and approved by LTTS.

 Method for Placing of concrete
1. Placing of concrete-by-concrete bucket
 The TM is stand at one place.
 Concrete bucket is hung to the Farana and move with Farana with the help of
signal man and bucket handler.
 The bucket is filled by concrete and transfer the concrete to the Column.
 The man is stand on green tagged scaffolding and handle the vibrator for
concreting.

2. Placing of concrete by Manual

 The TM is stand at one place near work location
 Concrete dump over the plain surface
 Manual dump the concrete
 Manually load the concrete by gamela and pour the concrete at designated area
 Vibrator to be used at concrete
 After completion of pouring the surface should be finish

3. Placing of concrete-by-Concrete Pump

 The TM is stand at one place.
 The concrete pump is also stand on one place.
 The pipe is fixed up to the column and then concrete is transfer by the
concrete pump via pipe to the column.
 After 1st column is completed then pipe is dismantled from that column.
 And refixed the pipes up to next column and this procedure is repeated for all
the columns.

 Steel fixing, Shuttering & de-shuttering – from 2.4 Mr level to FFL

 By using green tagged scaffolding, prefabricated steel shall be placed in
position as per approved drawings of the related structural member i.e. column
 After that Template fixing with bolts is to be done by welding. The Bolts
coordinate to be jointly verified by Total Station.
 The procedure will same as up to the 2.4 Mr level.

 Method for Bolt Fixing

 1st Method: We weld the bolt before fixing the shuttering board.
 2nd Method: If we fix the shuttering board before welding the bolt then there is a
chance of fire, for that, Either we will provide a fire blanket or provide Non-
combustible Sheet to cover the oil-polished shuttering boards to prevent it from
fire.
 Also, will make sure to provide a suitable fire extinguisher for emergency.

8. Safety documents to be produced before commencing the work

 Take all the Work permits for this activity.
 Review of JSA with respect to Method of statement.
 Toolbox Talk should be recoded as per the format.
