IMPLEMENTATION PLAN
2023 REGIONAL STANDARDIZED ASSESSMENT
Assessment plays a vital role in achieving the goals of the Department of Education
as it helps to evaluate student learning, assess the effectiveness of teaching methods, and
guide educational decision making. It determines whether the goals of education are
achieved. The assessment provides baseline data and statistics that are relevant in coming
up with decisions that have a great impact on instructional advancement and curriculum
adjustments.
The Department of Education SOCSKSARGEN Region XII through the Curriculum
Learning Management Division in coordination with the School Governance Operations
Division (SGOD) and Curriculum and Instruction Division (CID) shall administer a Regional
Assessment to clearly define the performance of learners in selected learning areas.
Further, this is to monitor progress from the baseline data as presented in the
Regional Educational Development Plan (REDP) for 2023-2028, the Regional Assessment
Tool will help act and use findings to address the gaps and issues among learners’
performances.
ASSESSMENT TOOLS
Key Stage 1
Assessment Tool in Reading and Listening
This assessment tool evaluates the Reading and Listening skills of Grade 3 learners
in both English and Filipino.
Key Stage 2
Assessment Tool in Literacy and Numeracy
This assessment tool measures the level of proficiency of Grade 6 learners in
Literacy and Numeracy. The tool is divided into English, Filipino, Science, and Mathematics
tests covering all the competencies of Grade 6 in the said learning areas.
Key Stage 3
Assessment Tool in Literacy and Numeracy
This assessment tool measures the level of proficiency of Grade 10 learners in
Literacy and Numeracy. The tool is divided into English, Filipino, Science, and Mathematics
tests covering all the competencies of Grade 10 in the said learning areas.
Key Stage 4
Assessment Tool in Literacy and Numeracy
This assessment tool measures the level of proficiency of Garde 10 learners in
Literacy and Numeracy. The Tool is divided into English, Filipino, Science, and Mathematics
test covering all the competencies in the following core subjects in Senior High School.
The assessment tools in Literacy and Numeracy for Key Stages 1, 2,3, and 4 will integrate
Information Literacy, Critical Thinking, and Problems Solving as 21st Century Skills.
The following are other typologies that will be considered in the submission of the
reports.
TYPOLOGY CHARACTERISTICS
The Division testing coordinators and CID Supervisors shall ensure that the appropriate
number of test takers is reached in every school. The school head shall ensure that all
sections in a particular grade level shall have equal number of test takers. The school shall
randomly select the learners who will take the test,
The school head of the selected school is responsible for the preparation of the Test
Venue and for ensuring that the examinees and their parents are informed of the details
regarding the Regional Standardized Assessment. Moreover, the school head shall ensure
that the examinees are present during the conduct of the assessment. On the other hand,
the Curriculum and Instruction Division shall conduct monitoring activities to ensure that all
testing venues are ready during the conduct of the assessment.

B.3.Test Administrator
The test administrator/proctor shall ensure the integrity of the test administration and
report misbehaviors and any act of cheating. The test administration shall ensure that the
schedule of the following activities is completed on time.
