Chapter-1

1.1 INTRODUCTION:
This report is a short description of my 6 weeks internship carried out as compulsory
component of the course. The internship was carried within the company Karnataka
Conveyors and Systems Pvt. Ltd. The work primarily focused on the manufacturing unit
itself because I am interested in manufacturing companies.

At the beginning of my internship, I formulated several goals, which I wanted to achieve:

• To understand the functioning and working conditions of a manufacturing Company.
• To see what is like to work in professional environment.
• To see if this kind of work is possibility in my future company.
• To use my gained skills and knowledge.
• To see what skills and knowledge I still need to work in a professional environment.
• To get fieldwork experience/collect data in an environment unknown for me.
• To enhance my communication skills.
• To build a good network.
• To get experience in working with new people.

In the following chapter a description about the company profile and activities is given. After
that the overview of introduction about company profile, conveyor system and the learning
goals during the internship are described. Finally, I give a conclusion on the internship
experience according to my learning goals.

What are the advantages of industrial training for students? Industrial training provides
students with a wealth of practical skills and knowledge, which encourages them to pursue
engineering careers. Excessive training Industrial training provides employment obligations
in the real world. There are a variety of workplaces where students can choose their jobs. In
order to improve your chances of finding work, industrial training programs are absolutely
necessary. During the training, students learn about the most recent technologies and acquire
both theoretical and practical skills. A few courses are instructed as a feature of modern.

The industrial training program provides students with invaluable exposure to their desired
industries while imparting the technical skills necessary for their future roles. Through hands-
on experience, students learn to handle customer issues, manage projects, and utilize business
software systems effectively. Guided by mentors and advisors, they tackle real-world
challenges, enhancing their problem-solving abilities and gaining confidence in their
engineering expertise.

This training not only solidifies students' understanding of engineering concepts but also
prepares them for success in job interviews and placement drives. Armed with practical
experience and technical proficiency, students can confidently respond to questions related to
their internship projects, leaving a strong impression on potential employers. With enhanced
exposure and guidance, students emerge from industrial training ready to excel in their
engineering careers, equipped to navigate the complexities of the professional world with
ease.

Since they are asked questions based on their internship projects at campus placement drives,
their industrial training gives them better opportunities. If they are given better exposure and
adequate technical guidance, they will be able to respond to these questions with ease and
make an impression on the interviewer from the industry.
