PHYSICS 2 : LESSON SUMMARY

ELECTRICITY
- When our teacher talks about electricity, it is stated that electricity is
used in some forms of energy, primarily in heat, pressure, friction,
light, chemical action, and electromagnetism. At first, all I knew about
electricity was that it was used to supply power to various appliances.
- is the result of forced electron action from their regular orbits around an
atom's nucleus forcibly removing electrons from their orbits to make
them a source of electric power. As other forms of energy are
transformed into electricity, putting power into the necessary potential
difference to create current flow. The use of electricity can be regarded
as a convenient distribution and transportation of power.
- is transported through a system of overhead or underground cables and
wires, and substations, which adjust the voltage.
- For example Power plants, Dam, and High-voltage transmission power
lines.
ELECTRIC POTENTIAL ENERGY
- It is produced and work is done in an electric circuit.
- is the force required to move a charge in opposition to an electric field.
A charge must be moved through a stronger electric field with more
energy, but it also must be moved through a weaker electric field with
more energy.
- Examples of Electric Potential Energy
- Car's headlight before turning it on.
- Turned off the incandescent bulb.
- television before it turned on.
- A turned-off washing machine.
- computer before it turned on.
- vacuum cleaner when it is turned off.
- A radio tower while it is not working.
- Air conditioning system before turning it on.

PE
GENERAL FORMULA : V = Q
Where : V = Voltage
PE = Potential Energy
Q = Charge

OTHER FORMULA
2. ΔPE = Δ V x Q
(If required is how much energy)
