F. PROCEDURES Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well. Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the
students which you can infer from formative assessment activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with
multiple ways to learn new things, practice their learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what
they learned in relation to their life experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

Teacher’s Activity Student’s Activity

Everybody please stand for our opening prayer.

Good morning, class.

You may take your seat. How are you?

That’s great! Are you ready to learn today?

Alright, seat back, listen and have fun learning. But before we start, always
remember our school & classroom rules.

To minimize the noise, if you want to use the comfort room, just raise your
hand with a thumbs up. Also, please avoid answering in chorus.

When your classmate is reciting, please listen and react respectfully. No

laughing, no side comments even if they might have said an incorrect word.

Kindly arrange your chairs and please sit properly. If you have any questions,
please raise your hand and no shouting. Are we clear?

2. Establishing a purpose for the (Video Presentation on the Derivation of the Formula of the sum and
lesson product of Quadratic Equation)
3. Presenting examples/Instances The sum and product of roots of the quadratic equation ax 2 +bx +c=0 can
of the new lesson be determined using the coefficients a, b, and c.
Without even finding the actual roots of a quadratic equation using the
factorization method or the quadratic formula, we can find the sum and product of
the roots, just by figuring out the coefficients a, b, c of the quadratic equation.
The sum of the roots of a quadratic equation is equal to the negation of the
coefficient of the second term, divided by the leading coefficient. It is the additive
inverse of the quotient of b and a.
The product of the roots of a quadratic equation is equal to the constant term (the
third term), divided by the leading coefficient. It is the quotient of c and a.

4. Discussing new concepts and Activity 3. Relate me to my Roots!

7. Finding practical application of We faced so many problems in our daily lives. There are problems that can
concepts and skills in daily be easily solved. There were also problems that makes us helpless as we
living don’t know how to solve it. But, in every problem, we can always find
various ways to solve it. Just like in solving quadratic equations, there are
lots of ways to obtain the roots. And there is an easier way to solve every
problem.
8. Making generalizations and To checked whether we attained the designed objectives, let’s recall our
abstractions about the lesson lesson for today.
How can we get the sum & product of the quadratic equation?
What is the relationship between the values of a, b and c to the roots of the

additional activities for
remediation who scored below
80%
3. Did the remedial lessons work? No.
of learners who have caught up
with the lesson
4. No. of learners who continue to
require remediation
5. Which of my teaching strategies
worked well? Why did these work?
6. What difficulties did I encounter
which my principal or supervisor
can help me solve?
7. What innovation or localized
materials did I use/discover which I
wish to share with other teachers?
