1. General Science
By the Science questions, your basic Ability to solve Science related general questions
and your awareness with the development of the day to day life based on science are
judged. Questions are generally of the School level. You need to polish your School level
Science.
For this NCERT's can make your job quite easy.Going through Meet of Class 8–10 is more
than sufficient..
2. History
For SSC, History means Indian History, hardly a question is asked from world history, so it
is recommended to read Indian History only.
History Part -I
Important Wars: who fought with whom, when and what was the result
+ some of them are from ‘modern history'.
Delhi Sultanate: Qutubuddin Aibak, Iltutmish, Razia Sultan, Balban,
Alauddin Khilji and his policies, Mohd. Tuglaq and his specialty, Firoz
Shah Tughlaq and his policy, Sikandar Lodhi, Ibrahim Lodhi.
Mughal and their policy work constructions.
Culture: South India Temple and features: Gopuram, Garbhagriha,
Hoysala temple etc.
Mosques, tombs, gates, forts: where are they located and who built
them?
Travelers: (incl. Ancient) + envoys: mainly Megasthenes, Fa-Hien, Al-

3. Polity
The advantage of Polity Section in General Studies-Getting all correct answer in polity is
not that hard as getting the same in History/Geography / Current Affairs because most
of the data follows a logical pattern. So revise it a lot and make polity your strong point
for G.S.
4. Geography
SSC most of time asks questions from Indian Geography. So don´t prepare for world
Geography. Because it will not be beneficial to you from SSC exam point of view. For IAS
exams, it is mandatory to prepare for World History and World Geography, but from SSC
point of view, don´t go for it.
