Valuation CCA
Comparable company analysis (CCA) is a process used to evaluate the value of a company
using the metrics of other businesses of similar size in the same industry. CCA is based on
the assumption that similar companies will have similar valuation multiples, such as P/E
ratios.
Steps in CCA
1. Select a peer group of comparable companies.
2. Calculate valuation multiples for each of the comparable companies.
3. Apply the average or median of these multiples to the company being valued.
