I don´t know which way you have decided to use the narrative you´ve sent us for your video, or
the type of video you are creating, so I will give you some general tips that might be helpful:

1. Define the message you want to convey, so that you know where to start and where to end.
2. Outline your story structure: Beginning, middle and end.
3. Break your narrative into small pieces, or blocks, so you can focus on one part at a time. Build it
so you can take your audience from one key point to the next in a logical way

4. Use the right words: Smooth, concise wording helps your message come across stronger.
5. Use one idea per sentence.
6. Don´t extend your discourse more than necessary and try not to repeat phrases. Make your point
and go on.
7. The more precise you are, you will have better focused content.
8. Write the way you would talk to a friend. Remember that using elaborate concepts might distract
or confuse your audience.
9. Your words have power. Use them wisely to highlight those ideas that need emphasis.
10. Use ideas or phrases that are already part of the context: Each project develops its own
language; communication ideas and messages. Use them. This helps the communication effort
through repetition.
11. To wrap things up, remember how you wished to end your video, so you come full circle with your
narrative.
12. If you are narrating, remember to use your voice to stress the salient ideas, and your silence to
stress the pauses. For this, you can highlight the words you want to stress and use (…) to cue
your pauses.
13. Before narration (if you are going to use this method): practice out loud, and, if possible, have
someone else read it out loud so you can detect possible mistakes that you did not notice before.
14. If you are using credits, apply the same ideas: short, clear phrases with fonts that can be easily
read.
15. Your words (written or narrated), are a complement to the images and sounds on your video. And
vice-versa.
16. Your style is unique: make sure your personal style shines through.
