Measuring Mass

Question: Do objects that takes the same space have the same mass?

Hypothesis:

No because I think that the Sand Weighs more than the water

Materials:

3 equal bottles: one empty, one with sand and other with water.

Procedure:

Using a scale measure the mass of the three different bottles.

Observations:

Results:

1500 ml of water = grams

1500 ml of sand = grams

Question: What happens if we fill a bottle with sand with water?

Hypothesis:

Materials: a bottle with sand, water.

Procedure: pour water inside the bottle with sand until the bottle is to its
maximum capacity.
