ZERO EXPONENTS

 Any nonzero real number


raised to the zero power is
equal to one. That is if x ≠ 0,
then x0 = 1.
NEGATIVE EXPONENTS
 A nonzero real number raised to a
negative power is the multiplicative
inverse (reciprocal) of the number
raised to the positive opposite of the
power. That is, if x ≠ 0 and m is a
positive integer, then
