Summer Camp Parent Resource

This resource is intended for currently active Region of Waterloo Child Care Subsidy
clients. If you are not part of the Child Care Subsidy Program, you can check to see if you
might qualify using the online calculator. In order to access Child Care Subsidy, you will
need to apply using the online application or by calling 519-575-4400. A Reason for
Service is required for fee subsidy to be applied for summer care. Below is a list of
organizations offering summer camps for 2024 that are eligible to be covered by the Child
Care Subsidy Program for fee assistance. Each organization has their own registration
process and you will need to apply directly to each program to secure a placement. Once
registered, please connect with your Child Care Subsidy Case Worker right away so they
can assess your subsidy eligibility and issue a Confirmation of Fee Assistance letter that
can be provided to the camp.

RisingOaks Early Learning

How to register: Families currently approved for fee subsidy can use the code ROW-Sub-
C@mp24 to register for RisingOaks’ Summer Camp. This code will allow you to complete
registration without payment or deposit.

Pre-registration for current families (those attending a RisingOaks’ program now) opens on
February 15, 2024 at noon. If you are eligible for pre-registration, you will receive the pre-
registration link directly from RisingOaks.

Registration opens to the public on March 1, 2024 at noon. On this day, go to

https://risingoaks.ca/summer-camp and click on the red “Register Now” button.
Registration fills up quickly. Please review the camp details and FAQ prior to the
registration date/time.

Once registered, notify your subsidy case worker so that they can send confirmation of fee
assistance to RisingOaks. Should your situation change and you no longer quality for fee
subsidy, you will be given the option to pay the full fee or to cancel your registrations. No
refunds or credits will be issued as of June 1 for July camps (i.e., weeks 1 to 5), and as of
July 1 for August camps (i.e., weeks 6 to 8).
