Grilled Pork Ears Recipe
Grilled pork ears, also known as "inihaw na tenga ng baboy" in Filipino cuisine, are a popular street food
dish known for their crispy texture and savory flavor. Here's a simple recipe to make grilled pork ears at
home:
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
Rinse the pork ears under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
Trim off any excess fat or cartilage from the pork ears.
Score the pork ears with a sharp knife to help the marinade penetrate.
In a bowl, combine minced garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, ground black pepper, and salt.
Add the pork ears to the marinade mixture and ensure they are evenly coated.
Cover the bowl and let the pork ears marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or preferably
overnight, to allow the flavors to develop.
Remove the pork ears from the marinade and discard any excess marinade.
Lightly brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
Place the pork ears on the preheated grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are
golden brown and crispy.
While grilling, baste the pork ears with any remaining marinade to keep them moist and flavorful.
4. Serve:
Once cooked, remove the grilled pork ears from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
Optionally, serve with a dipping sauce made from soy sauce, vinegar, and chopped onions for added
flavor.
Enjoy your homemade grilled pork ears! They are perfect for sharing with friends and family, especially
during outdoor gatherings or barbecue parties. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste
preferences.
