A. OBJECTIVES
Students will be able to undestand the sentence with one clause, the description and example
of subject, verb and sentence and verb agreement.
B. MATERIAL DESCRIPTION
in TOEFL test, the general problems you will have to solve in structure questions are
dealing with the subject and the verbs. Could probably the sentece missing the subject or it
coulb be missing the verb or it could be missing both subject and verb.
Example :
It can be noticed from the example that there is a verb was but the subject is missing.
The correct answer is C agree with singular was. Answer A and B can not be a subject,
while answer D is plural.
The tenses can be present, past or future tense, see the example below

Subject in an English sentence is a part of the sentece or clause that commonly answer
what and who perform action. Subjects are typically person, animal, things (concrete or
abstract) they act in conjunction in a verb.
c. Sentence
A sentence is a set of words that contain a subject and a verbs. There are
four types of sentences. They are:
