• Mark Edward Fischbach is a German-Korean gaming Youtuber
and actor.
• He first started YouTube on March 6 2012. At first he intended
to make comedy sketches, and decided on the name
“Markiplier” as he would be portraying all of his characters.
• He had a passion for video games so he decided to do gaming
videos as during that time, those were the types of videos
that were trending on YouTube.
• His first series was a Let's Play of Amnesia: The Dark Descent
(2010), and the channel reached over 94,000 subscribers
within the year.
• In 2014 he dropped out of university to pursue his
gaming career. He was 2 years from graduating.
• In the same year, Mark did a Lets Play on Five
Nights At Freddy’s, and to this day those are his
most watched videos.
• His first FNAF video had over 114 million views as
of November 2023, making it his top 5 most
viewed video.
• In the past few years, Mark has gained on
popularity, with currently 36.4 million
subscribers.

• In the past few years, Mark has also made many
fully interactive movies, where there were
choices to make and each choice led to an
ending. He made 3 interactive movies in total:
A Date With Markiplier, A Heist With
Markiplier and In Space With Markiplier
(which was split into 2 parts).
• His characters have become very iconic, with
Wilford M. Warfstache and Darkiplier being
his most iconic ones.
• He is also in the middle of producing a
movie that will be released in theatres
between 2024-25.
• The movie is based off of the 2022 video
game called Iron Lung.
• Mark is directing and playing the main role.
