UMAK VISION
We envision the UNIVERSITY OF MAKATI as the primary instrument where University education and Industry training programs interface to mold Makati youth into productive citizens and
IT- enable professionals who are exposed to the cutting edge of technology in their areas of specialization. The University shall be the final stage of Makati City’s integrated primary level
to university educational system that allows its less privileged citizens to compare for high paying job opportunities in its businesses and industries.
UMAK MISSION
To achieve our vision, UNIVERSITY OF MAKATI shall mold highly competent professionals and skilled workers from the children of poor Makati residents while inculcating in them good
moral values and desirable personality development by offering baccalaureate degree, graduate degree, and non- degree programs with parallel on campus social, cultural, sports and
other co-curricular activities.

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The course is a continuation of HERON 1. It focuses on civic heritage and programs as a springboard for developing national consciousness through student’s participation in community
immersions, conducting research and develop or propose a viable project for the benefits of Makati Through these activities students should be able to apply or put into practice the
attributes expected of a UMAK graduate.
With the cited general course outcomes, the course will further aim to develop in its students the following values identified as marks of a UMak graduate embodied in HERON the
acronym of the University symbol.

COURSE POLICIES
1. Attendance and Participation: Attendance and active participation in both in-person and online class sessions are very important. It will be part of how you are graded.
2. Communication Channels: Regularly check the LMS and announcements given on our official GC using Facebook Messenger.
3. Technology Requirements: Some of the needed materials during blended learning (e.g., laptop, tablet, or smartphone) and software applications required for the course
4. Submission of Assignments: Activity worksheets must be submitted on or before the set deadline. We no longer accept late submissions on fairness and equality in the classroom.
The format for submitting the worksheet (e.g., PDF or Word document) and the deadline for each assignment will be set using the same LMS.
5. Academic Integrity: Academic integrity is utmost important. Avoid plagiarism and make sure to cite sources correctly. (Please refer to your student manual for consequences against
academic integrity).
6. Netiquette: Ensure respectful and professional communication during virtual class discussions and onsite interactions.
7. Office Hours and Support: Please observe office hours for consultation.
