This Earth Day we experienced a c l ral

shif comparable to the first Earth Day in
1 70 Millions around the world angry and
frustrated with the pace of change raised
their voices and demanded comprehensive
climate action from governments and
corporations around the world The
environmental movement of 1 70 has been
reborn We e en ered in o a ne phase of
progress a new barometer of sustainability
requirements and a new chapter of activism
We must continue this momentum

Climate Literacy is very important since
environmental education will prepare youth
to gain knowledge about anthropogenic
activities that adversely impact Earth and it
can help foster a new generation of citizens
with the interest and the skills needed for
jobs in a growing green economy. Enhanced
environmental understanding will help them
make better sustainable consumer choices.
