Argument # 1 ( Keira H - The knowledge of financial problems can pose as
Angela G Vergara ) a mental health risk to children if they are made
aware of them.

E - Children can become hyperaware of the instability

of their current lifestyle when the knowledge of the
financial problems are presented to them. They will
become more observant to events linked to the
financial struggle, growing further anxious and
stressed with the circumstances. They will want to do
everything they can to solve it, and if the child is
already dealing with other personal problems
themselves, this can add up and prove to be a
considerable strain at their mental wellbeing. Being
privy to the knowledge of the financial issues may
also cause a child to feel obligated to fix it. This can
result in the child doing more work and responsibility
than they should, leading to developmental,
behavioral and academic issues.

D - According to an article from The Economic Times

on November 2023, the knowledge of current
financial problems can pose more of a risk to a
child's mental health, as they will be left having to
deal with the frustration of not knowing how to
process the information and not knowing how to fix
it. The child will feel guilty over not being able to help
their parents deal with the situation. This in turn
affects their confidence and self worth. All this is
further backed up by an article from the American
Psychological Association on December 2022 which
details the same information. Additionally, an article
post by John D Sanders on December 20, 2022 also
states that the child might feel the need to take on
more responsibilities that isn't fit for their age.
Link - In conclusion, we should avoid discussing
financial problems with children as to not burden
them with the mental stress that stems from them
being able to know about the situation but not being
able to act.
