Introduction

The purpose of this survey is to determine if there is a correlation

between the grades of 30 students of Grade 11 TVL grade in physics
and PR1 during the 3rd quarter.

Hypothesis Testing

Step 1: Formulate Null and Alternative Hypothesis

Ho: There is no significant relationship between the grades of 30 students in

PR1 and Physics of grade 11 TVL.

Ha: There is a significant relationship between the grades of 30 students in

PR1 and Physics of grade 11 TVL.

Step 2: State the test statistic

Pearson r Correlation Analysis

Step 3: Specify the significance level and the sample size

a=0.05 ; n=30

Step 4: State the decision criterion

df = n-1 ttab(0.05,29) = 2.045
df =30-1 Reject Hσ if 2.045 ≤ tcomputed ≤-2.045
df = 29

Step 5: Compute for the test statistic

Tc=r
√ n−2
1−r 2

Tc = 0.24
√ 30−2
1−¿ ¿
¿

Tc = 0.24(6.056258329)
Tc = 1.45

Step 6: State the decision

Since the t-computed is 1.45 which is less than Ttab 2.045, then there is a sufficient
evidence to reject the null hypothesis.

Step 7: State the conclusion

Therefore, there is a signicant relationship between the grades of 30
students of grade 11 TVL in PR1 and Physics during the 3rd quarter. This
implies that the grades of two subject is have a correlation.
