Teaching PE and Health in the Elementary Grades

COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course deals with the educational foundations of Physical Education as these apply to teaching and learning in the elementary grades. Various teaching strategies and assessment
appropriate for each area shall be given emphases in the courses.
COURSE LEARNING OUTCOMES:
1. Demonstrate in-depth understanding of the concept, elements and principles of physical education and health in the elementary grades.
2. Employ varied teaching strategies in teaching physical education and health in the elementary level.
3. Design assessment tools in assessing physical education and health in the elementary level
