assessment as an assessment procedure in classroom situation.

Ways to implement performance- Student’s Learning Insights

based assessment
1. Provide sufficient time for weakness with performance
tasks. assessment is very time consuming
for students and teachers. This
means that fewer assessments can be
gathered so if they are not carefully
devised fewer learning goals will be
assessed at which can reduce content
validity.
2. Offer students guidance Using performance-based
through meaningful tasks. assessments, rather than written
assessments, allows students the
flexibility to show the ways in which
they have learned the material while
challenging them to use higher-order
thinking skills to apply their
knowledge.
3. Conduct of thorough feedback. Feedback improves learner
confidence, motivation to learn and
ultimately, a learner's attainment.

Part 2. Cite at least three (3) examples of performance-based assessment and

discuss the nature of the learning activities.
Examples of Performance-Based Discuss the nature of the learning
Assessment activities
1. Science Lab Activity/Experiment The main objective of laboratory
activities is to make students familiar
with the nature of scientific
approaches including observation,
data collection, data organization,
and logical conclusion.
2. Role Playing Role-play is a technique that allows
students to explore realistic
situations by interacting with other
people in a managed way in order to
develop experience and trial different
strategies in a supported
environment.
3.Debate Using debates in the classroom
provides students the opportunity to
explore real-world topics and issues.
Debates also engage students
through self-reflection and encourage
them to learn from their peers.
