It is the first day of class for the course Technoprenuership 101 or
TECH101 and the agenda is the class orientation. When I came in to the classroom I have this thought that this will be a piece of cake type of course, but when the class goes on and our instructor talk about this course more that thought disappeared on my mind. It became more difficult because when the instructor asked us if someone knows the meaning of “STARTUP” some of my classmates know it but even if I am now at my 3rd college year I still haven’t heard about that phrase. Also as the class progress he said that as if someone in our class thinks that this class will be an effortless type of course we better transfer or drop this course because he would give not a minimum but a maximum effort of his to teach and guide us.
After hearing the important details of the class orientation, I began
to think differently from before which is easy going course to I should do my best in this course since this course have a lot to learn specially this course is not theoretical type but “PRACTICAL TYPE” of teachings.
I also became interested because of what our instructor said, he
said that this course will give us another plan or route to pursue since this would make us innovative as well as become a business minded, and that’s what I learned or the insights I gained from our class orientation of the course Technoprenuership 101.
SECOND DAY OF CLASS
On this week we have our first formal class, we have done an activity about Sustainable Development Goals (SDP) which consists of 5 task, the 1st is that you have to pick 10 most common problems in the SDP, 2nd is to make a group consisting of four members and choose 1from that 10 in the 1st task that occur mostly in your community, 3 rd is that we have to think what is the solutions based on what we have chosen, 4th is to have the reasons why you pick your chosen SDP, and lastly the 5th (PRO/DELTA) it is basically the pros and cons of the activity we did or the insights as well as suggestions to improve the activity.
I arrived 5 minutes late in the class then because of that I was
behind in doing the activity, our instructor asked us to secure 5 pieces of ¼ sheets of paper, and because I multitasked the doing the activity also cutting my whole sheet of paper into ¼ sheets. But since the activity is also about what we have experienced I gradually caught up with my classmates because I was able to identify easily the problems with in my community where I live at.
The insights I gained on that week is the importance of sustainable
and development goals as well as the important of time management. I also learned the essence which is in my opinion is to have critical thinking skills under time pressure or any type of pressure. Also that activity we did resembles on how to start a “STARUP” company.
