During the fourth semester each student shall undertake a project to be pursued by him / her
under the supervision of an Internal Supervisor to be appointed by the Director / Principal. The
project should preferably be based on primary / secondary data. The project title and the
supervisor will be approved by the Director / Principal of the Institution. It shall be evaluated
by an External Examiner to be appointed by the University.

1. As part of the academic curriculum, students of BBA (G) are to constructively engage
themselves in the preparation of minor project reports in Semester II and Semester IV.
The Minor Project - It is to be carried out on a Topic to their field of interest and concern
with their subject. During Semesters II & IV each and every student is required to submit
a written report. The academic objectives of Minor project report is to:

 Identifying a business OR social problem or a field of study


 Explore the environment to identify the potential research area
 Crystalize a business concern into a concrete business research problem
 Explore the alternatives to resolve a business problem
 Analyse how theoretical concepts taught are applied/not applied in real situations;
 Analyse best practices of a company/industry in different functional areas;
 Enhance analytical and application abilities of students; and
 Develop skills in report writing.

The objective of this Academic Exercise/Circular is to lay clear guidelines for the conduct of the
Minor Project Report and standardize the format of submission of the Project Report.

2. Prior to the beginning of the End Semester Examination of the Second Semester, the
subjects on which each student shall be pursuing his / her Minor Project in relation to a
business firm and the respective internal supervisors shall be finalized by the concerned
Principal / Director of the Institute wherein BBA Programme is being run. The project
can be based on primary/ secondary data. After completion of the assigned Project a
Project Report in respect of the same shall be submitted to the concerned
Director/Principal within two weeks of the commencement of the Third Semester. The
Minor Project shall carry 100 marks i.e., marks equivalent to one course and it shall be
pursued by every student under the supervision of one internal supervisor to be appointed
by the Principal / Director of the Institute from among the Faculty Members handling the
various BBA courses. It shall be evaluated jointly by the Internal Supervisor and the
External Examiner. The Internal Supervisor shall award marks out of 40 and the External

Examiner shall award marks out of 60. The External Examiner shall be appointed by the
University.

Scope of Minor Project Report – I


It is partly the responsibility of the student to prepare an on report where he/she intends to
develop his/her skills. A Topic once fixed cannot be changed. It is necessary for each student to
approve of the Topic by the respective Project Coordinator of the class. Each student is
required to carry out the work independently and submit the report individually.

ANY PREVIOUS WORK OR BORROWED REPORT WILL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED


AND IN ALL SUCH CASES OF REJECTION THE WORK IS TO BE REPEATED AFRESH.

Final Report

The guidelines for a methodology to be adopted for preparing minor reports reports are
mentioned below and all students reports strictly adhere to these guidelines.

Marks allotted for preparation of Submission

Students are required to strictly follow the schedule given below:

The Minor project Coordinators/ Faculty Guides and students allotted under each guide for
BBA (G)/B.COM (H) Semester-II Students will be intimated at the start of the semester.
MARKS DIVISION:

Internal Marks = 40
External Marks= 60

 The project should be approved by Project Supervisor before the final submission.

 The project should be Topic (Related to product or service) specific and based on

secondary data.
