Possess Your Possessions! - Pastor Joseph

The most important thing that Pastor Joseph Prince

covets from his congregation is their prayer support.

Jesus had a different specific message for each of the

seven churches in the Book of Revelation. He pointed out
the positive points and the flaws in each of the individual
churches.
It is vitally important that you are in the right local church
that brings out the riches and treasures of God's word.

Full-time ministry can be one of the excuses for people

who don't want to get a proper job. But if one is really
called to ministry, it is one of the highest callings. The
fruits that it produces will really satisfy that person.

God is a righteous God. He cannot do things in an

unrighteous manner. When man chooses to walk in an
unrighteous way, God's righteousness demands
punishment on man.

Earthly judges don't judge us based on our motives and

what is in our hearts, but God judges man based on His
perfect knowledge of man's sins.
God knows from the beginning to the end. He knows
everything about your life.

Moses' preservation as a baby was supernatural. His

mother told him that it was his destiny to be a deliverer.
When he was an adult, Moses killed the Egyptian who
killed a Hebrew slave.
He had the right vision of his destiny but had the wrong
application.
At the Red Sea, Moses raised his rod and the sea covered
and killed the Egyptians perfectly. This time it wasn't but
his might, it was by the Spirit.
Don't rely on your own might, rely on the Holy Spirit.

When the Lord blesses the five loaves of bread and fish in
your hands, it will prosper.

You can apply the word of God and word of faith in every
area of your life. Speak especially to your internal organs.
Speak to your body. Say "You are being renewed in youth
and strength!"

Genesis 39:2-6 - The life of Joseph is the clearest type of

life of Jesus. Even if we have physically nothing, as long as
the Lord is with us, we will end up with everything!
No one can push you down when the Lord makes you a
success. They may push you down for a while, but you'll
always bounce back to the top!
Even the heathen Potiphar could see that the Lord was
with Joseph. There was a plus-factor with Joseph and it
wasn't his good looks.
Whatever Joseph did, the Lord made it to prosper. The
Hebrew word for "prosper" is "Tsaleach" which means "to
burst forth". Tsaleach is used many times for the word
prosper in the Old Testament.
With favor comes jealousy. Joseph faced it. Jesus faced it.
Are you prepared for it?
It is possible for the Lord to bless an unbeliever's company
for a believer's sake.
A person can have a lot of money but also have an
unhappy family. That's not prospering. The Lord wants us
to prosper in all things and be in health, even as our soul
prospers.
For believers, whatever we touch prospers. When we
touch the sick, sickness turns into health.

“The LORD was with Joseph, and he was a successful

man; and he was in the house of his master the
Egyptian. And his master saw that the LORD was with him
and that the LORD made all he did to prosper in his
hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him.
Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he
had he put under his authority. So it was, from the time
that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he
had, that the LORD blessed the Egyptian’s house for
Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the LORD was on all that
he had in the house and in the field. Thus he left all that he
had in Joseph’s hand, and he did not know what he had
except for the bread which he ate. Now Joseph was
handsome in form and appearance.” (Genesis 39:2-6 NKJV)

You can exercise and become fit, but fitness does not
equate with health. The Lord gives health.

There are things that the Bible says we can do that will
shorten or prolong the length of our life.

Psalms 1:3 - The leaf represents your health. You will be in

health! Even when there is drought in the world, you will
still prosper as you are planted by rivers of water.
You must believe God's words that WHATEVER you do
shall prosper.

“He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That

brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not
wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.” (Psalms 1:3
NKJV)

While on earth, Jesus did everything in its season. He

veiled His official glory and deity in the appropriate
season. The only thing that He couldn't veil was His moral
excellence.
Sometimes people penetrated through the veil and saw
Jesus' deity.
When Jesus was twelve years old, He asked the religious
leaders questions which He already knew the answers to,
and astounded them with His wisdom.
Jesus submitted to His earthly parents not because they
were smarter than Him - Jesus was more brilliant than
them.
By submitting to them, God allowed Jesus to increase in
favor.

For preachers and budding preachers, don't use

bombastic words when preaching. Look at John Chapter 1
- there are many monosyllabic words.
Use simple words when preaching. Don't preach over
people's heads. It is no use if they can't understand what
you are saying.

In the Bible, when God talks about marriage, He always

addresses the wives first before the husbands.
This is because women are smarter and they listen faster
and better than men.
Your wife is not your competitor. She is your completer.
Many times, God speaks through your wife.
For husbands, it always happens that they take their
wives for granted.
As a husband, always be quick to take the blame and
don't blame your wife. That will help you to create a
happy marriage.
As a husband, don't blame your wife if you give up the
decision-making process.
As a wife, even if you know that your husband is making a
bad decision and if he still insists on it, just submit to him.
By submitting, you will increase in favor.

Joshua 1:8 - If you know how to worry, you know how to

meditate.
The word "meditate" here is the Hebrew word "hagah"
which means "to mutter".

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth,
but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may
observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then
you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have
good success.” (Joshua 1:8 NKJV)

Psalms 91:3-7 - Meditate on these verses to cast out fear

and worry. Quote the word of God out loud when you feel
fear.
In the wilderness, Jesus used the written word of God ("It
is written..") to resist Satan, not the rhema word of God
("You are My Beloved Son in whom I am well pleased").
You don't have to personalize the scriptures all the time.
You can just quote it as it is.
You are loved by God - One only covers another under
one's wings if there is love.
Even when trouble seems to be near you, it will not come
near you!

“Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the

fowler And from the perilous pestilence. He shall cover you
with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take
refuge; His truth shall be your shield and buckler. You shall
not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that
flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness,
Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. A
thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your
right hand; But it shall not come near you.” (Psalms 91:3-7
NKJV)

Deuteronomy 7:15 - The Lord will take away ALL sickness

from you. Meditate on this if you are worried about
sickness, or for receiving healing.

“And the LORD will take away from you all sickness, and
will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt
which you have known, but will lay them on all those who
hate you.” (Deuteronomy 7:15 NKJV)

Proverbs 6:22 - God's words will lead you, keep you and
speak with you at all times.
If you awaken at night because of negative thoughts,
meditate on and quote God's words.

“When you roam, they will lead you; When you sleep, they
will keep you; And when you awake, they will speak with
you.” (Proverbs 6:22 NKJV)

A ruminant (animal with a stomach that has four

compartments. Example: cow) chews its food, swallows it,
and spits it out again as cud, and swallows it back again,
sucking its nutrients and water into the body.
This is how you meditate - by feeding on the word over
and over again.
Do not feed from ministries where preachers don't chew
the cud - they don't meditate. They steal from other
preacher's ministry's contents that are rehashed.

Romans 8:32 - You can take even one month to mediate

on this verse, part by part.

“He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up
for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all
things?” (Romans 8:32 NKJV)

Holy people are holy because they meditate on God's

word.

I Timothy 4:15 - Meditate on God's words and you will

profit. It will be evident to all.
“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to
them; that thy profiting may appear to all.” (1 Timothy
4:15 KJV)

I Timothy 4:15-16 - The word "save" isn't talking about

being saved from hell.
Timothy was already a believer and pastor and already
possessed the gift of salvation.
The word "save" here is the Greek word "sozo", which is
an all-encompassing word for healing, deliverance,
wholeness, etc.
By meditating on God's word, you will experience sozo.

“Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them;

that thy profiting may appear to all. Take heed unto
thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in
doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear
thee.” (1 Timothy 4:15-16 KJV)

Deuteronomy 11:18-21 - By meditating on God's words,

the days of your life and the days of your children's lives
will be multiplied and your days will be like the days of
heaven on earth.
Teach your children about Jesus.

“Therefore shall ye lay up these my words in your heart and

in your soul, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, that
they may be as frontlets between your eyes. And ye shall
teach them your children, speaking of them when thou
sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way,
when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou
shalt write them upon the door posts of thine house, and
upon thy gates: That your days may be multiplied, and the
days of your children, in the land which the Lord sware unto
your fathers to give them, as the days of heaven upon the
earth.” (Deuteronomy 11:18-21 KJV)

Pastor Prince shared that many times people get a word
in season for them in these devotionals. They are free-of-

Parents, speak of God and His word when you are around
your children.
When good things happen, say "Praise Jesus!" And
mention it to them. That's how you can help them to
develop a heart for God.

The best thing you can do for your children is to exemplify

that you're meditating on God's word.

The more you force teenagers to do something, the more

they will resist.
But when you relax and talk to them in the flow of things,
chances are, they will be more receptive and open.

God's word has prospering, recuperative power. Many

centenarians (people who are hundred or more years-old)
read the Bible every day.
