“Family is Home”

By: Ken Jethro Mamaril Cariño

The first time I opened my eyes

I’ve seen the beauty of great blue sky
With the waves of the ocean sound with roar
The birds flew and sung as they soar

A mother who cared for his child

With her embraced so gentle and mild
A father who’s always there to guide
Who sacrifice himself with all his might

Raised in faith, in love and care

Blessings from above that we always share
Even in sorrow or every tear
Nothing in this world can be compare

With every lesson, they’ve taught to me

And also to my sisters I’ll always be
The one to guide them so they can see
It is precious thing we have in thee

Wherever I may go, wherever I roam

I’ll never forget the one I called own
I will still go back where I belong
To the place once I called HOME
