The Client

1. Mark is an 11 year old boy. One day he decides to take his brother Ricky in the woods
to teach him how to smoke but they accidentally witness a suicide, the man’s name was
Clifford and he killed himself because his client, Barry Muldano, murdered a politician,
Senator Boyd Boyette. Barry hid the body on Romey’s property. The brothers run and
Mark decides to cal 911 and he returns to the scene. Mark finds Reggie, his lawyer to help
him with everything. Since Mark’s family is threatened by Gronke, Muldano’s friend, the
FBI decides to put him in a detention centre to keep him save but he has other plans. Mark
scapes and calls Reggie, they go together to New Orleans to see if Boyd’s body is where
Clifford told him. After some difficulties they find the body and Mark’s family is safe from
the Mafia.

2. Mark Sway: he is the main character. An eleven–year–old boy. He is brave and a very
mature for a boy his age. He is short and his hair is brown.

Dianne Sway: is Mark’s and Ricki’s mother. She is very independent and takes care of her
two kids. She is tall and she has wavy brown hair.

Reggie Love: she is Mark’s lawyer. She is a strong and kind woman, she helps Mark a lot.
She is tall and has brown curly hair.

Larry Trumann: he is a FBI agent. He is sometimes selfish and does anything to get
whatever he wants. He is old and has brown hoary hair.

3. I liked the book but I think that everything happened so rushed. In my opinion it could
have been more long and more well explained. For example, the author could have gone
further on the story of the murder of Boyd and the implication of Muldano and Romey in
the case. I would recommend the book to people who likes mystery novels.
Another thing that I would change about this book is that it has too many characters but it
doesn’t describe them. I think it would be more interesting and it would make more sense if
the book told the stories of the characters like Mark his brother and their mother.
Over all I liked the book because it has mystery and crime in it and I really like reading
about those topics. I think I give this book a six out of ten.

4. Monday: Today was not a good day, I feel like I don’t belong here. I want to talk to my
my mum and my brother.

Tuesday: I have been thinking about a plan to get out of this detention center but I don’t
know how to do it and as much as I don’t like to accept it, I am very scared of the Mafia. I
know I’m safe here but I’m still scared.

Wednesday: I definitely want to get out of here, I feel really alone.

Thursday: I have came out with a plan, I’m going to pretend to be sick so they take me to
the hospital and there I’ll try to go unnoticed.

Friday: I’ve finally made up my mind, I am going to execute my plan tomorrow. And when I
get out of the hospital I’m going to find a way to communicate with Reggie and she will
take me to New Orleans.
5. When Mark and Reggie arrive at Romey’s house, Barry Muldanno’s men are attempting
to move the body and they accidentally discover Mark and Reggie. They try to run but
Barry’s man catch them both and they kidnap them. When Mark wakes up, he realizes
what happened and he sees Reggie beside him. She is still unconscious. Mark is so
scared and doesn’t know what to do, he is disoriented. Then Reggie wakes up and they
start planing how to escape they kidnappers. They realized they were in a cabin in the
middle of the woods and they started to loose the hopes of getting out. A couple hours
later they heard cars outside the cabin and they were the FBI, they found them and they
were rescued. Mark could see his brother and mother again and he could tell them and the
FBI everything that happened.
