it is the athlete’s sole responsibility to secure any equipment necessary to perform a workout.
d. Required amount of weight in pounds. If kilogram plates are used, athletes will need to use appropriate
combinations of plates to achieve the correct weight. For the purpose of CrossFit competitions, 15-kg

plates on the bar will NOT be included in the total weight.
e. Time domain or time limit.
f. Scoring method.
g. Filming and submission guidelines.

Subject to CrossFit, LLC’s prior approval, belts, non-tacky gloves, hand tape, neoprene joint sleeves, and common

from any device or apparel. In addition, should the workout call for a pull-up bar, athletes may wrap tape around
the pull-up bar OR wear hand protection (gymnastics-style grips, gloves, etc.), but they may not tape the bar AND
wear hand protection.

All athletes should be familiar with the Uncommon Movement Clause from the CrossFit Games Rulebook as it
applies to judging in the CrossFit Virtual Games competition:

“Any movement deemed uncommon, out of the ordinary, or used to amend, shorten, or change the
accepted movement standard or range of motion, including line of action of any movement, will be
disallowed.”

5. SCORE SUBMISSION

Important CrossFit Virtual Games dates and workouts will be announced on crossfit.leaderboards.com. Athletes
will have until Tuesday, Aug. 3, at 12 p.m. (noon) PT to complete the workouts and submit results.

It is the athlete’s sole responsibility to ensure the timely and successful submission of their workout scores.
Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. Any athlete whose score submission may be delayed must send
an email to support@crossfitgames.com notifying Games Support staff of these difficulties. Games Support staff
must receive this email PRIOR to the submission deadline. Any messages sent after the deadline to request
assistance or notify staff of a problem will not be reviewed. Once the competition closes at 12 p.m. (noon) PT on
Tuesday, athletes will not be able to adjust or re-submit their scores.

NOTE: CrossFit, LLC reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to extend the score submission deadline due to
unforeseen circumstances. If the deadline is extended, athletes are permitted to complete or redo the workouts
within the new time frame provided.

Athletes may perform the workouts at an official CrossFit affiliate, at home (if they have the equipment), or at an
unaffiliated gym.

Each athlete is responsible for performing the workouts as stipulated in the workout descriptions. This includes
performing all required movements in accordance with the specified movement standard, counting and completing
all required reps, using the required equipment and loads, and meeting all score and video submission requirements.
If an athlete does modify the workout, they will submit their score as scaled. Any infraction to the movement
standards or range of motion will result in the loss of repetition(s).

Invalidation of any online scoring submission is the sole right of CrossFit, LLC. Scores may be invalidated or
adjusted without warning, even after the close of the competition. Reasons for invalidation include but are not
limited to violations of the workout format and/or miscounting reps. Frequently, score modifications stem from
violations of the movement standards or the use of an uncommon movement.

6. THE CROSSFIT VIRTUAL GAMES LEADERBOARD

The official leaderboard for the CrossFit Virtual Games competition will be hosted at crossfit.leaderboards.com.
Athletes will be ranked on the CrossFit Virtual Games leaderboard based on their performance in each workout.
An athlete’s score will be ranked against other athletes’ scores in their division. Points will be awarded based on
COMPETITION RULEBOOK

placement in each workout — 1 point for first place, 2 points for second place, and so on.

Athletes from each division may elect to perform the prescribed or their own modified version of the workout.

Any athlete who chooses to perform a modified workout will appear on the leaderboard below all athletes who
performed that workout as prescribed. Performing 1 repetition as prescribed will outrank all modified scores for
that workout.

If an athlete fails to submit a score for any reason, they will receive a score of “0” for the workout and be ranked
below all athletes who post a score (whether prescribed or modified) for the workout.

Ties will not be broken for single workout results. More than one athlete can share a workout result, and all will
earn the original point value.

7. APPEALS

All CrossFit Virtual Games questions about score submissions must be immediately emailed to support@
crossfitgames.com.

Judgment calls made by CrossFit, LLC are final and not subject to change or modification.

CrossFit, LLC has final authority on all appeal or protest rulings.

8. T-SHIRTS

A T-shirt is included in the cost of registration for the CrossFit Virtual Games competition. Each athlete will receive
a code to claim one T-shirt at the conclusion of the competition.

Athletes who enter a score for each workout will receive a claim code for a specific T-shirt design indicating they
are “Virtually a Games Athlete.”

Athletes who register but do not enter a score for each workout will receive a claim code for a specific T-shirt
design that indicates they are a “Competitor.”
