STRANGER
Nice day, huh?

SETH
Yeah.
STRANGER
Have you accomplished your goal?
SETH
Do I know you?
2.

STRANGER
Sure you do, we meet every 26
years, 13 days at this hour. Have
you accomplished your goal?

SETH
I'm sorry I think you might have me
confused for somebody else.

Seth stands up.

STRANGER
Seth, please sit back down.

SETH
How do you know my name?
STRANGER
Do you believe in fate? Fate is a
curious thing. I think this may be
the penultimate chapter of our
relationship. I have doubt, you
know, seeing how little you have
changed but I'm an optimistic
person. Of course theres the chance
we go on forever but I'm hopeful.
No, not hopeful, hoping doesn't get
you anywhere.
SETH
I don't un-

STRANGER
Understand. No one does, I'm going
to leave you with my number. I
highly suggest you don't call me
but it's up to you.
The stranger gets up and walks away. Seth looks down at the
number on a piece of paper.
SETH
Hey! Wait!

Seth looks up and the stranger is gone.

INT. BEDROOM - NIGHT

He hesitates and crunches up the paper but then opens it
again and dials the number.

INT. WHITE ROOM

Seth is in a brightly lit, endless, white space.

SETH
Hello?
VOICE
Would you like to see a glimpse
into your future or change your
past?

SETH
What? What is this? Where am I?
VOICE
Would you like to see a glimpse
into your future or change your
past?

SETH
I want to get out of here!
VOICE
Would you like to see a glimpse
into your future or change your
past?
SETH
Please, get me out of here!
VOICE

SETH
(Crying)
Change my past!

Seth breaks down into tears and drops to the floor.

SETH (CONT’D)
I want to change my past!
VOICE
How much would you change?

SETH
(Crying)
All of it! Everything!
VOICE
What do you expect would happen if
you change your past?
4.

SETH
I don't know. I would have a better
life, not feel like killing myself
every single day.
VOICE
Where would you start?
SETH
From the very beginning, it has to
be.

VOICE
You're entire life is about to
change. What you know now will be
gone.
Seth laughs.
SETH
I don't know anything.
VOICE
Very well.
