In your own words, define one to three project management approaches.

Include key characteristics and

an example of how you could assess when that approach is most appropriate.

Agile: this approach is fluid, it has mini goals to reach the end goal. It typically moves the project along at
a faster pace. It typically leaves most decisions up to the team so there is no waiting for stakeholders to
make the decisions. This approach to me would be best suited for the research team at my company.
They have one end goal, they determine what they think it will cost and have the budget approved. Then
they do what they need to do to reach that goal. They have no driving restrictions to figure out how to
accomplish the request.

Hybrid: This approach is a combination of the other two. you merge what is needed from each approach
for the project at hand. This approach at my company is more suited for the Development team. They
have mini goals that have strict rules on what you have to achieve. But you can move between stages if
needed. You simply have to communicate if you are going backwards so that the powers that be know
that there needs to be another stage review.

Predictive: This approach is more rigid, it has one end goal and typically stages that are consecutive.
Once you move to the next stage you typically can not move back. This approach typically has many
rules and restrictions in place of how you do things. at my company this approach is more suited for
production. We have defined processes that we have to follow. We cannot stray from them to reach the
goal. If something goes wrong somewhere we are limited to what we are allowed to do.
