    Dear Ms. Hill:

    I am in receipt of the enclosed letter, dated March 25, 2024, in which you advise of your
    resignation, effective immediately, as Clerk of Court of Colleton County. Please allow this letter
    to memorialize and confirm that I have accepted your resignation.

    By copy of this letter, I am simultaneously notifying the Colleton County Probate Judge
    that “[u]ntil such vacancy [in the office of Clerk of Court of Colleton County] be filled by
    appointment or election,” he “shall take charge of the office and all of the papers therein, discharge
    the duties and receive the fees thereof, and be subject to all its liabilities as provided by law.” S.C.
    Code Ann. § 14-17-30.
