Assessment Point 2 - Brief

Submission Details

Work will be marked out of 30%


The assignment should be word processed and/or in an electronic format which can
be accessed through the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).
Make sure that you enter your student enrolment number and name at the top of
the document. By submitting your work, you are agreeing to abide by the
University’s regulations on plagiarism. Plagiarism is defined as presenting the work of
someone else as your own. This includes statistical data, graphs, charts and any other
graphically represented material. It also includes copying of another student’s work
for submission as your own. For more information on this, read the University's
Student Regulations.

Assignment Description

Students will need to use the example provided in week’s 3 material titled Reading:
5 paragraph sample essay and write a brief essay of 1000-1500 words critically
analysing the topic: “Should computers replace teachers?”
The assignment must be written on a Word or PDF document and then uploaded it in
the Submission Link.

Detailed Instructions
1. The Assignment Brief Instructions indicate the topics to be covered in this
assignment. Specifically, this means that the topics covered in Week 3 and 4 are the
ones to be focused upon.

2. The topics should be related to critical thinking and writing using all the strategies
learned in the weeks before.

3. It is essential that you review the relevant weeks in order to be able to complete
the assignment.

6. The tutor is permitted to answer specific questions related to the instructions of


each exercise but cannot give feedback on draft submitted assignments.

Learning Outcomes
This assessment contributes to the following learning outcome for this module:
Practice the ability to think and analyse a specific topic with a critical approach. It
also provides the student with the opportunity to form a brief 5 paragraph essay
discussing the subject of computerisation in education stating their opinion on the
matter.
