Today we will talk about hobbies. 오늘은 취미에 대해서 이야기할 거예요.
A hobby is something I like and do often. 취미는 내가 좋아하고 자주 하는 것이에요.
For example, I stretch every day. 예를 들면 저는 매일 스트레칭을 해요.
Stretching before going to bed helps me sleep better. 자기 전에 스트레칭을 하면 잠이 잘 와요.
And I feel good. 그리고 기분이 좋아요.
So stretching is my favorite hobby. 그래서 스트레칭은 제가 제일 좋아하는 취미예요.

I have another hobby. 저는 취미가 또 있어요.
It's just listening to audiobooks. 바로 오디오북 듣는 거예요.
I especially listen to audiobooks a lot when washing dishes. 특히 설거지 할 때 오디오북을 많이 들어요.
Listening to audiobooks makes doing the dishes less hard. 오디오북을 들으면 설거지 하는 시간이 힘들지 않아요.
And I can have fun washing dishes. 그리고 설거지를 재미있게 할 수 있어요.
So I like listening to audiobooks while doing housework. 그래서 집안일을 하면서 오디오북 듣는 것을 좋아해요.
A/V + -면서 ex) 공부하면서, 운동하면서, 책을 읽으면서
Sometimes I listen to audiobooks with my son. 가끔 아들과 같이 오디오북을 들을 때도 많이 있어요.
It's really nice to pick an interesting book and listen to it together. 재미있는 책을 골라서 같이 들으면 정말 좋아요.
I listen to a lot of Korean books, but I also listen to a lot of English 한국어 책도 많이 듣지만 영어 책도 많이 들어요.

Because if I listen to English books, I can study English. 왜냐하면 영어 책을 들으면 영어 공부를 할 수 있어요.
So I listen to a lot of English books with my son. 그래서 아들과 함께 영어 책도 많이 들어요.

Autumn in Korea is so beautiful. 한국의 가을은 너무 아름다워요.
When the leaves are changing color, the colors are really pretty. 단풍이 들면 색이 정말 예뻐요.
And the color of the autumn sky is very clear. 그리고 가을 하늘색은 아주 맑아요.
So people travel and go for walks often. 그래서 여행도 하고 산책도 자주 가요.
Winters in Korea are very cold, 한국의 겨울은 많이 추워서
so people don’t do many outdoor activities. 야외활동을 잘 안해요.
However, In winter, there is a lot of snow, 그래도 겨울에는 눈이 많이 내려서
so people go sledding and skiing. 눈썰매도 타고 스키도 타요.
Summer in Korea is very hot and rains a lot. 한국의 여름은 너무 덥고 비도 많이 내려요.
Still, people like to go on vacation to the beach and swim. 그래도 바닷가로 휴가 가서 수영하는 걸 좋아해요.
In spring in Korea, many pretty flowers bloom. 한국의 봄은 예쁜 꽃이 많이 펴요.
When flowers bloom, people go to see them. 꽃이 피면 사람들은 꽃구경을 하러 가요.

What is a popular hobby in your country? 여러분의 나라에서 유행하는 취미가 무엇인가요?
A hobby that many Koreans do these days is hiking. 요즘 한국 사람들이 많이 하는 취미 활동은 등산이에요.
There are so many mountains in Korea. 한국에는 산이 정말 많아요.
There are big mountains and small mountains. 큰 산도 있고 작은 산도 있어요.
There are many mountains close to our homes, 집과 가까운 곳에 산이 많아서
so we can easily hike them. 쉽게 등산할 수 있어요.
In Seoul, Namsan Mountain, Cheonggyesan Mountain, and 서울에는 남산, 청계산, 도봉산이 유명해요.
Dobongsan Mountain are famous.

There is a small mountain near my house too. 우리 집 근처에도 작은 산이 있어요.

So sometimes I go hiking with my husband and child. 그래서 가끔 남편과 아이와 함께 등산을 해요.
It was hard at first, but these days it's not that hard. 처음에는 힘들었지만 요즘은 별로 안힘들어요.
Ex) 처음에는 좋았지만 / 처음에는 맛있었지만
I am getting better stamina. 점점 체력이 늘어나고 있어요.
I'm going to hike a bigger mountain later. 나중에 더 큰 산에서 등산할 거예요.

I don't like games. 저는 게임을 좋아하지 않아요.
Time passes so quickly when I play games. 게임을 하면 시간이 너무 빨리 지나가요.
So it's a waste of time for me. 그래서 시간이 아까워요.
And even if I win the game, I'm not very happy. 그리고 게임에서 이겨도 별로 행복하지 않고
I don't feel good when I lose a game. 게임에서 지면 기분이 좋지 않아요.
So I don't like playing games. 그래서 저는 게임하는 것을 좋아하지 않아요.
My husband often plays games, but I rarely play games. 남편은 게임을 자주 하지만, 저는 게임을 거의 안해요.
Ex) 영화는 자주 보지만 책은 거의 안 읽어요.
걷기는 자주 하지만 달리기는 자주 안해요.
