Subject: Request for Adjustment – Defective Product

Dear Hour Glass,

I hope this letter finds you in good health and high spirits. I'm writing to let you know of
an unfortunate incident that occurred on the occasion of my recent purchase at your
shop. I'm looking for an adjustment to fix or replace the defective watch I've received.
So, on March 2, 2024, I recently purchased a wristwatch from your store, located at J.A.
Clarin St., Tagbilaran City. When I purchased this wristwatch, it seemed to be in a very
good working condition and I was thrilled to wear it. However, in just a week, the
wristwatch ceased functioning.
What I did, was just only follow the instructions in the wristwatch’s manual so I could set
the time and make sure of its proper use but the wristwatch malfunctioned. Its
functionality and reliability are substantially affected by this defect, which fails to function
for its intended purpose.
I’m quite displeased since I’ve always believed that every product that you sell to your
store is of very high quality. I’ve been a loyal customer since I saw your astounding
wristwatch products, but I’ve never had a problem like this before and I can say that it
was due to a manufacturing defect.
Thus, I kindly request a replacement for the same wristwatch model that I purchased or
fix it to return to its good working condition. For your information, I have attached a copy
of the purchase receipt since you will need this for verification.
Please take into consideration that I’ve always been happy and contented with high-
quality products, especially those wristwatches that your store has to offer, and I think
this specific incident is unusual. I’m optimistic that you will consider my request
thoroughly and address it promptly.
