Perdido ED200 – Philosophy of Education

In preparation of the webinar in “Education in a Globalized Society” as a facilitatior, I

prepared an e-invitation for the participants to be reminded of the upcoming event.

As the facilitator of the group I also created and designed the powerpoint presentation
for all group members given the condition that I was to be given the details in a period of
time so that our presentation would also be organized and only one person would share
the screen and coherence in the presentation would be observed if only one person
would prepare it. The presentation created was a compilation of information gathered by
the individual reporters, what was done was insert appropriate graphics some where
downloaded and most was created by the facilitator. Each part of the presentation
serves a purpose such as the picture inserted. Pictures added were reviewed and
created in such a way that it would be related to theinformation in the particular slide.

Attached below is the PPT created by the facilitator (Ryzza Marie D. Perdido) and after
a short synopsis of the report is also attached at the end of this document.

In this report, the reporters have discussed the different ways in which education could
improve not only in a localized aspect but globally. We have started our discussion with
the topic on liberalism which Ms. Bitchayda then related to education wherein it was
mentioned that the prosperity of education in ones country also depends on the
government specially for the public education. Different ways and policies were
mentioned such as policies from UNESCO where we could use them as means to
improve our educational system. There are also factors affecting education that is
affecting it passively such humanity suffering from extreme circumstances (natural
disasters) that actually affects education. One example is pollution though it is an external
factor it could still affect education for comfort of learners is also vital in the process of
learning. We ended the session with smart conversation and exchanging ideas among
professionals who joined the webinar.
