We’re excited to offer after-school, weekend, and camp programs at our Midtown Toronto location and weekend program for
families in Etobicoke/Mississauga and Markham. For those that prefer, we will continue to have virtual classes too!

Who is this for?
Students 5 years old and under who are exploring
Mandarin. Whether they’re beginners, intermediate, or
advanced speakers, the goal for this program is to build
exposure, learn new vocabulary, socialize, and to have
fun! For advanced speakers, we will also use the ⻢立平
中⽂ (Ma Li Ping Zhong Wen) series to introduce more
complex vocabulary and reading.
Focus
Introduction to speaking, listening, culture or reinforcing
the language for intermediate/advanced speakers
through games, songs, music, crafts. For advanced
students, introduce reading & more vocabulary &
sentences.
Time Commitment
By term (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), 30-60 minutes
per week depending on age level.
Class Sizes
Between 3 and 10 students.
Type
In-person
Virtual available for 4-5 year old classes
Who is this for?
Students 6 years and up who are beginner to novice
level. They can be total beginners or have had prior
exposure. They want a fun and engaging way to learn
Mandarin while developing proficiency on this learning
voyage.
Focus
Using the Youth Chinese Test (YCT) curriculum, the focus
is on enrichment through speaking, listening, reading,
pinyin, and some writing. For older ages, there will be
more reading and writing. Textbooks will be provided
along with review exercises & summaries provided for
practice at home.
Time Commitment
By term (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer), 60 minutes per
week, review exercises & summaries provided for at
home use.
Class Sizes
Between 3 and 10 students.

Winter 2024 Update
Who is this for?
Students 6 years and up who have had exposure to the
language and are already proficient in conversational
Mandarin. They are at an advanced level in order to join
with the ability to read pinyin. A textbook/workbook will
be provided.
Focus
Academic focus is on an academic approach to speaking,
listening, reading, pinyin, writing with a lot richer
vocabulary being taught using the ⻢立平中⽂ (Ma Li Ping
Zhong Wen) series of books compared to our Mandarin
Voyagers classes. Simplified and Traditional Chinese
classes are available.
Time Commitment
By term (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) 90 minutes per
week depending on age level with review exercises &
summaries provided for at home use.

Between 3 and 6 students.

In-person
Virtual may be available for select classes
Note: an assessment will be conducted prior to the
student joining the program.
