• The teacher presents the priming activity entitled, “Lights, Camera, and
Roll”.
• The teacher briefly explains the instructions of the priming activity.
(There are lines and dialogues from various movies that the students
must deliver with a certain emotion. To know the kind of emotion they
must utilize, they need to roll the dice whereas six certain types of
emotions were written such as Anger, Sorrowful, Extreme Joy, being
Delusional, Fear, and Pride.)
• To choose the first participant, the teacher will call a student depending
on what they wear. (For example, if you are wearing red, stand up.)
• After choosing, the participant or the student must deliver the line
according to the emotion he or she gets from rolling the dice.
B. Development • The teacher asks leading question to introduce the topic:
From the activity that we just had, what do you think will be our topic for today?
• The teacher introduces the topic.
• The teacher presents an image of a theatrical adaptation and asks the
students their ideas about it.
• The teacher presents the theatrical adaptation of Ibong Adarna and
Lion King as examples.
• The teacher introduces the elements of theatrical adaptation through a
creative graphic organizer using the video presentation as a reference.
In each element, the teacher lets the students read and have a brief
explanation.
C. Engagement • After the discussion, the teacher asks the students to notice the small
photos of a bird and a lion pasted on their table. (This will serve as the
way they would be grouped).
• For those who have the photo of a bird on their table would be Group
1 and for those with the photo of a lion on their table would be Group
2.
• The teacher instructs the class to silently seat with their groupmates.
• Then, as the activity direction, students are assigned to create a short
skit as a mini theatrical adaptation of the literary piece given to them
(which was in this context, Ibong Adarna and Lion King).
• The teacher emphasizes that they only have 2 minutes to present their
