1. General Description

The Bulk Chemical Dispense System is to transfer chemicals from level 1 to level 3.

There are 12 set of chemical dispense module (CDM) located at level 1 which transfer chemical to P3
mother tanks.

2. Key Equipment & Instruments

The equipment and instruments applicable to this system are tabulated as below.

3. System Operation

3.1 Manual Mode

When the selector switch under “MANUAL” mode, the pump can be operate manually individually
without checking any interlock / sensor status.

3.2 Auto Mode

When the selector switch under “AUTO” mode, the CDM System able to operate automatically based
on predefine sequence with checking interlock / sensor status. Transfer pump will turn on if fulfilled
the trigger condition.

The system can start in Auto mode when there is no fault present.

3.2.1 Auto Mode Start-Up Sequence

 Pre-Requisite: The CDM shall be switched to Auto from HMI by FMCS operator as pre-requisite
to start in Auto Mode.
 The CDM will initiate the action of top up and transfer of chemical by the action of tower light.
The sequence will start as described as below:

1. When the tower light turns red, the action of checking HMI code will start.
2. If packing of carboy/drum is empty, the top up process of carboy/drum will initiate by open
the door of CDM.
3. The glove is used to take out the tube inside carboy/drum and rinsed.
4. The drum stopper is removed and the trolley is standby for top-up purpose.

5. The carboy/drum is taken out and new chemical is transferred into CDM.
6. The bar-code gun is used to ensure the right chemical is top up into corresponding CDM and
the expired date is still valid.
7. If the option is in right mode, the door of CDM will closed manually to ready the transfer of
chemical.
8. The glove is used to insert the tube into drum/carboy.
9. Start button is pushed to transferred the chemical to day tank. (Auto Transfer)
10. The top-up pump will start transferred the chemical to day tank until reached High level.
11. The top-up pump will start top up the chemical again once the level of Day tank reached Low
level until the carboy/drum is empty or Day tank reached High level again.
12. The chemical is pumped and transferred by transfer pump by Day tank to Mother tank at
level 3 when low level sensor of Mother tank is detected. (Auto Transfer)
13. The transfer pump is stopped when Mother tank is full while the transfer pump of day tank
will start to transfer chemical to Mother tank once Low level is detected.

3.3 Interlocks

3.3.1 In events that Leak Sensor of CDM Fails

When leak sensor of CDM fails or alarm of leak sensor being triggered, the signal will be send to
corresponding CDM PLC. The corresponding CDM will then stopped the transferring of chemical from
carboy/drum to day tank by stop the transfer pump of carboy/drum.

3.3.2 In events that Leak Sensor along from P1 to P3 Fails

When leak sensor along P1 to P3 or alarm of leak sensor being triggered, the signal will be send to P3
Main PLC. The P3 Main PLC will then transfer the data to FMCS which FMCS will reflect signal to P1
Main PLC which stop the corresponding CDM. The corresponding CDM will then received signal and
stop the transfer pump to transfer chemical from CDM to corresponding destination in P3 Mother
room.

3.3.3 In events that Leak Sensor of pipeline from Mother room to Production room Fails

When leak sensor of VMB or alarm of leak sensor being triggered, the signal will be send to P3 Main
PLC. The P3 Main PLC will then transfer the data to FMCS which FMCS will reflect signal to P1 Main
PLC which stop the corresponding CDM. The corresponding CDM will then received signal and stop
the transfer pump to transfer chemical from CDM to VMB.

3.3.4 In events that Leak Sensor of pipeline from Mother room to Production room Fails

When leak sensor of of pipeline from Mother room to Production room or alarm of leak sensor being
triggered, the signal will be transferred by P3 Main PLC to FMCS. FMCS will then reflect signal to P3
Manz PLC which call corresponding transfer pump of mother tank to be stopped. The transferring of
the chemical from mother tank to production tools will then stopped.

3.4 CDM System Schematic Diagram and IO List

The Schematic Diagram and IO List will be attached at the appendix.

3.5 CDM HMI Screen

The CDM HMI Screen is under preperation and will be updated in next version.
