A harbour gantry crane was attempting to lift a load (Pick n carry

crane) and off load it on a vessel.The load was connected with the

help of 3 web slings, rear two slings were connected to the lifting

points provided by the manufacturer and front sling was connected

on the main boom by forming a choker hitch.

As the load was lifted up to the height of 20 mtrs approx, the sling on
choker snapped and the load(pick n carry) fell on the ground.
