Dear Applicants,

Thank you very much for expressing your interest in the Sirindhorn International Thai-German Graduate
School of Engineering (TGGS), King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok.

All TGGS curriculum are designed along the same principles as the RWTH German version, at the same time
adapted to support the industrial development in Thailand. It is meant to create master level engineers not
only with abilities in knowledge application, but also skills in research and development. This distinctive
academic program is fully supported by one of the leading universities in Europe, the RWTH Aachen
University in Germany.

English Proficiency Test Information


• Required English Proficiency Test score, please visit https://tggs.kmutnb.ac.th/admission-info
• You should arrange to take the English Proficiency Test and request the official result from the testing
company. Send the official result with the application form.

Financial Statement or Bank Certification Information (for self-support applicants)


• The financial statement or bank certification should be on the financial institution’s stationery with the
following information:
1. Name on the account. (personal account)
2. Amount in the account. Acceptable wording of the financial statement is: “[Student’s name, or
mother or father] has a bank account balance of _________ [total amount].” For the amount
needed refer to your program level in the attachment.
3. The statement: “The student has the financial ability to pay all fees,” does not fulfill the
financial statement requirement.
4. Date. Financial statement must be dated within 12 months of receipt of TGGS Academic
Affairs for Admission Office.
5. Statement must be signed by a bank official.
6. Financial statement must be typed on official financial institution letterhead and include
address and telephone number of the bank.
• If someone other than you or your parents is supporting your education, please submit a signed,
notarized affidavit from the individual supporting you that details the length of time and amount of
funding of his/her support for your academic program. Also include the relationship between the
sponsor and yourself. (i.e., uncle, brother, family friend, etc.)

Extremely Required Important Documents for International


Applicants
The international applicants are required to prepare the following documents prior the acceptance:
1. The Clearance Proof of Criminal Letter (in English) from the Police Division in the applicant’s country:
which indicates that the applicant(s) do not have the criminal record (in English) (according to the
regulation of the royal Thai Consulate for international students who will study in Thailand).
2. In addition, the applicants from AFRICA are required to submit the Clearance Proof of Drug Letter
from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency in your country (in English) (according to the
regulation of the royal Thai Consulate for international students who will study in Thailand).
3. The letter of degree verification:
it must be sent directly from the institution responsible for conducting the examinations or the
registrar's office of the applicant’s former university to admissions-inter@tggs-bangkok.org by the
admission deadline specified on the TGGS website.
The letter of degree verifications is an email sent to confirm/ensure that the applicants have all of the
educational credentials listed on their application, resume, or motivation letter. A verification, unlike a
transcript, is simply a confirmation of degrees earned.
Remark: In case the applicant's degree can be verified on the official website, please refer to the
appendix on how to complete the TGGS degree verification requirement.

Documents No. 1 and 2 are required to send to admissions-inter@tggs-bangkok.org by the interview date
(the selection process/timeline, please visit https://tggs.kmutnb.ac.th/admission-info). It is recommended to
prepare these documents as soon as possible or NOW.
Document No. 3 is required to be sent directly from the institution responsible for conducting the examinations
or the registrar's office of the applicant’s former university to admissions-inter@tggs-bangkok.org by the
admission deadline specified on the TGGS website. It is recommended to prepare the document as soon
as possible or NOW.

If the applicants fail to send aforementioned documents in time, their TGGS study rights will be
passed on to the next applicants, NO ANY EXCEPTIONS TO THIS REGULATION.

How to complete the TGGS degree verification requirement, in case the applicant's
degree can be verified on the official website

ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION DOCUMENTS, the applicant must send screenshots of pages
displaying the degree attestation details, including the degree attestation/degree verification
website, to admissions-inter@tggs-bangkok.org, as well as type the information required to be
filled on the qualification verification/degree verification in the email (so that TGGS/KMUTNB
can double check), e.g. National ID number, Barcode number, Stamp number, etc.
