A Bless the Lord, O my soul!

B O Lord, my God, you are great indeed!
C You are clothed with majesty and glory,
D robed in light as with a cloak.

A You fixed the earth upon its foundation,

B not to be moved forever;
C with the ocean, as with a garment, you covered it;
D above the mountains the waters stood.

A You send forth springs into the watercourses

B that wind among the mountains.
C Beside them the birds of heaven dwell;
D from among the branches they send forth their song.

A You water the mountains from your palace;

B the earth is replete with the fruit of your works.
C You raise grass for the cattles and vegetation for man's use,
D Producing bread from the earth.

A How manifold are your works, O Lord!

B In wisdom you have wrought them all -
C the earth is fullof your creatures.
D Bless the Lord, O my soul! Alleluia.
