In 2020, Boskalis Subsea Services and Rever Offshore adopted very similar
COVID-19 protocols, which were very effective in protecting our people and
vessels from the virus. In total, 3301 PCR tests were completed as part of the
pre-mobilisation process, which resulted in 55 positive cases being identified.
There were no COVID-19 cases onboard any BSS vessels.

As part of the ongoing integration plan, we have prioritised getting a single

COVID-19 procedure implemented across the business. Given the recent spike
we have seen in positive cases, it is vitally important that we have a consistent
and joined-up approach to manage COVID-19 risk.

In general, the attached procedure (BS-286a - Offshore Coronavirus Response

Procedure) is a continuation of what was implemented in 2020 across both
legacy businesses. However in certain areas we have enhanced our protocols
in line with Boskalis Group requirements.

Key points:

• Single procedure in place for BSS COVID management – no requirement

to produce project-specific COVID Plans
• Single risk assessment in place for BSS COVID management (also
attached) – no requirement to include within project HIRA
• Personnel expected to self-isolate for 7 days at home prior to date of travel,
in order to minimize risk of positive COVID-19 test (note, personnel will not
be entitled to pay during this period)
• Personnel required to complete Declaration form: BS-286a-04, and submit
to Crewing prior to travel
• Continued requirement for PCR testing for all personnel prior to
mobilisation
• ‘Mobilisation Coordinator’ role to be identified per mob, and documented
within Project Information Sheet
• Temperature checks still required on quayside, however this can be done
by either Security Guard or Second Medic
• Need for a vessel-specific contingency plan in event of suspected case
offshore, to be documented as per ‘Isolation Plan’ template (Appendix I of
BSS Procedure)

All personnel are responsible for adhering to the requirements of the attached
procedure and risk assessment at all times. Any breaches will be treated as
disciplinary offences.
