1. Language

The rst parameter you can con gure is the language. To access, long-press the top side button.
Once inside, by short presses, you can see the different languages available. Once you have selected
the desired language, long-press the lower button to exit.

2. Device ID or Identi cation Number

The following parameter cannot be altered. This is the unique identi cation number of your Trydan.
This code is also indicated on a label on the right side of your e-Charger. With this code, you can link
Trydan to your V2C Cloud account.

3. Date and time

The date and time can be changed manually in the order of DAY, MONTH, YEAR, HOUR and
MINUTES. These values are updated every time Trydan connects to the internet or to a smartphone
via Bluetooth, according to your time-zone, so manual change will be infrequent.

However, in case you want to change the time manually, you can enable the manual time in the last
option of this section.

4. Communications and programming status

This parameter cannot be modi ed, it is informative. It will show both the WiFi communication status
and whether or not there is a time-schedule load.

- If you are connected via WiFi, you can access the IP address by long pressing the top button. This is
the local IP that our router has assigned to Trydan.

- If you have a scheduled charge, a long press on the top button will display the time and days the
charge is scheduled.

5. Reset

This parameter allows the e-Charger to be reset to the initial factory settings by long-pressing the top
button.

• Installation

1. Charging mode

In this parameter you can modify various load-related settings.

3
fi
By long-pressing the top button you can enter the different parameters:

1.1 Dynamic control

If you have a dedicated consumption meter connected to Trydan, you can select YES to dynamic
control so that the load intensity varies according to the current total consumption and the charging
is as ef cient as possible. If you do not have such a meter, select NO.

In case of activating the Dynamic Control, the following parameters are to be con gured:

1.2 Installation

Trydan is able to communicate with most inverters on the market and thus manage the surplus of
your photovoltaic installation. Therefore, you can choose between 4 modes: Single-phase, Three-
phase, Single-phase-Photovoltaic and Three-phase-Photovoltaic.

1.3 Contracted power

You must indicate the peak or contracted power. This power will be the maximum limit of the total
consumption that Trydan will use to adjust the load intensity. This limit can be modi ed and
programmed by hours through the V2C Cloud APP, so if this parameter is modi ed from this menu,
the programming made through the APP will be DELETED.

1.4 Refresh each

In this parameter you can modify the time in which you want the Dynamic Control data to be
updated.

1.5 Type of slave

In this section you can select the measuring device from which Trydan will obtain the consumption
data and, if installed, photovoltaic generation.

Currently, there are many models compatible with Trydan (V2C 2.0, Shelly, Huawei, Shelly, Solax,
Kostal…) You can check the update list at the following link:
bit.ly/42hsxWa

You can nd this link in the document ‘Inverters with direct connection to Trydan’ in the PV system
section of the Trydan Support page.

You have a speci c manual for the installation and integration of each of the inverters in the
Photovoltaic System section of the Trydan Support page:
https://v2charge.com/trydan/support/

1.6 Photovoltaic mode

If you selected installation with photovoltaic, the following section will be displayed:

Maximum power (Grid + Photovoltaic)

- It allows charging at maximum power, taking advantage of the available contracted power plus
photovoltaic generation.
- Recommended for use in night mode. As there is no production at night, the photovoltaic will be 0.

Minimum power (PV + Minimum power)

- In this mode, only a maximum of 1.5 kW from the mains + all PV generation will be used.
- The dynamic control is programmed to give priority to the house. There are several in uencing
conditions:

1. If the household's consumption is equal to the contracted power, it will stop using the minimum of
1.5 kW from the grid. The car will only charge with the power generated by the photovoltaic system if
solar energy is available.
2. In case the car depends on the PV generation, it is important to stress as a general rule that the
car needs at least 6A or 1.2 kW to start charging.

Photovoltaic only (PHV only)

- The car will only charge from the power being generated by the self-consumption photovoltaic
system and is not required by the home. If it does not have enough PV power, charging will stop.
- You will need to have a decent solar installation, as the minimum charging power for an electric car
is 1.2 kW.

fl
In case you do NOT activate Dynamic Power Control, the charging mode will change to Static.

In addition to the above parameters, you will be able to con gure the following parameters:

1.7 Local balancing

In this section you can select the role of the local balancer. It can be inactive or you can select the
master or a slave.

If you select the master, you can later determine the number of slaves (1, 2, 3 or 4).

If you select a slave as the local balancing role, you can determine whether the communication with
the master is via WiFi or cable. In the case of WiFi, you can con gure the IP of the master.

2. Maximum intensity

Once the contracted power has been con gured, we can select the maximum intensity at which we
want the dynamic control to act (this will always depend on the contracted power). If the household
consumption allows it, this will be the maximum intensity at which Trydan will charge your vehicle
(Lim. 16 - 32A).

fi
3. Minimum intensity

Once the maximum intensity has been set, we can now select the minimum intensity that we want
the dynamic control to act. If the consumption is too high to maintain this minimum current, Trydan
will stop charging until the total consumption is low enough to charge the car at this current. It is
therefore advisable not to set this parameter too high (Lim. 6 - 16A).

4. Installation voltage

Modify the voltage used as a reference. The one you have in your home should be selected.

• Additional

1. LED logo

Change this parameter to turn on or off the LED logo lighting.

2. Calibration

This parameter allows the communication between the charger and the EV to be set more precisely.
If the car has intermittent charging, this parameter can be used to solve this problem. To do this, you
must disconnect the car from the charging point before calibrating. Enter the con guration menu
and in this calibration parameter long-press the top button. This way the charger will calibrate the
control pilot between the car and the charger.

3. Shortcuts

This parameter allows you to change the behavior of the side buttons of your charger.

7
fi
DISABLED. Characteristics of this shortcut:
- If this option is activated the e-Charger remains enabled.
- It does not allow disabling the charger from the keypad if the charger is enabled.
- If the charger is disabled from the App, it does not allow to enter the con guration menu through
the keypad, nor to enable it (by pressing the bottom button with a long press).
- If the charger is enabled from the App, it does allow entering the con guration menu via the
keypad.

(This shortcut has a medium-high access security level).

ON BUTTONS. Features of this shortcut:

- If this option is activated the e-Charger remains enabled.
- If the e-Charger is subsequently disabled from the App, this shortcut allows the e-Charger to be
enabled from the keypad by long-pressing the lower button.

(This shortcut has a low access security level).

AUTOLOCK. Characteristics of this shortcut:

- If this option is enabled, the charger will be disabled.
- With this option you cannot enable or disable the e-Charger from the keypad, it can only be done
from the App.
- To access the menu from the keypad, the e-Charger must rst be enabled from the App.
- With this option, the e-Charger will auto-block after 60 seconds if it does not detect a connected car.

(This shortcut has a high access security level).

ALL ON. Characteristics of this shortcut:

- If this option is enabled the charger remains disabled.
- Allows you to enable the e-Charger from the keypad if it has been disabled from the App previously
by long-pressing the lower button.
- With this option the e-Charger will auto-lock after 60 seconds if it does not detect a connected car.

(This shortcut has a medium-high access security level).

NOTE: These shortcuts will be activated as soon as you nish all the con guration and the charger
restarts.

4. Timer mode

This option should only be enabled if our EV does not charge instantly when plugged in or when it
has a scheduled charge. Renault ZOE, Dacia Spring and their derivatives are examples of electric
vehicles that usually present this issue. If you have any of these models, you will need to activate the
timer mode for the car to start charging.

5. Three-phase load

This mode is available in case you have a three-phase charger in a three-phase installation.

If we choose 'No', it converts the three-phase charger into a single-phase charger, a recommendable
option if we have little contracted power.

6. Unlock with Bluetooth

This option allows you to pair a device so that the charger can be unlocked when the device is nearby.
This feature is limited to devices with BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy).

To enable this option, long-press the top button, select Device 1 and long-press the top button again.
You can add up to 4 devices. Be sure the device’s Bluetooth is enabled. Once the device is detected, it
will be added automatically.

After the con guration of this parameter, if necessary, the equipment will be restarted. It is
recommended not to charge the vehicle while performing this manipulation, although this would not
be a critical problem.
